Student Innovation Ambassador's training
Institution Innovation council at MREC is to drive innovation and startup ecosystem at campus while connecting with ecosystem enablers at the regional and national levels. They play the role of a mentor or guide for young minds in innovation and entrepreneurship and it is equally crucial for mentors to have the adequate and right set of mentoring skills. Institutions Innovation council of MoE’s Innovation Cell aims to build mentorship capacity of IIC members through a series of training programs exclusively for faculty members and the trained IIC members are designated as "IIC - Innovation Ambassador". The beneficiaries of these training programs will join the network as "IIC-Innovation Ambassador" and will perform the role of mentor, these Innovation Ambassadors will provide support to other IICs and ATLs as a resource person in organizing various programs related to innovation and startup and spread the message of innovation & start-up among the students and faculties. They can be performing as an evaluator in evaluating the ideas submitted in YUKTI Innovation Repository for the nomination for YUKTI Innovation Challenge of MIC.& AICTE.
Campus Ambassador
Pakala Nikitha from ECE selected for the position of Marketing Intern under the Campus Ambassador Program for Shaastra'25. This internship will run from September 2024 to January 2025. She will lead the charge in promoting Shaastra through engaging social media campaigns and email initiatives. Also play a pivotal role in spreading the word about SAMPARK, a nationwide college event hosted by Shaastra

Mr.T. VENKATA CHANDRA KRISHNA from III Year IOT selected for Campus Ambassador position at Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Bombay as a student of Malla Reddy Engineering College. He will be provided various incentives like financial literacy courses, coding courses, internship opportunities.

Ministry of Education released IIC 5.0 star rating for the year 2022-23. In this regard Malla Reddy Engineering College got highest star rating (4 Star) again. Score achieved as 89.70 which is highest score in entire India.

Establishment of Institution's Innovation Council (IIC)
In the year 2018, the Ministry of Education (MoE) through MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) launched the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) program in collaboration with AICTE for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to systematically foster the culture of innovation and start-up ecosystem in education institutions. In this regard MREC established Institution's Innovation Council in 2018-19 academic year.
