The invited Alumni is Mr. Vidyadhar Kagitha, A 2014 passed out student from ME department, currently working as film director and screen writer, recently directed a telugu movie GAAMI (2024) Mr. Vidyadhar Kagita emphasized that learning is not confined to formal education or structured training programs. Instead, self-learning is an ongoing process that can be driven by curiosity, passion, and a genuine desire to grow. His journey in cinema exemplifies this, as he shared how his skills were honed not merely through formal instruction, but through observation, experimentation, and a hands-on approach to mastering his craft. His entry into the film industry was not without its challenges. he spoke candidly about the obstacles he faced, especially as someone who did not have an extensive background in cinema initially. Yet, his determination to learn independently became his greatest strength. From studying film techniques on his own to learning the intricacies of the creative process, his story illustrates that passion paired with self-discipline can propel one forward in even the most competitive fields. A central point of his talk was the importance of adaptability in learning and professional development. In an ever-evolving industry like cinema, where technology and trends shift rapidly, he highlighted the importance of staying curious and adaptable. His own success story reflects this mindset. He finally talks about self-learning and his journey in cinema is a compelling example of how one can achieve success through dedication, adaptability, and a constant thirst for knowledge. His story emphasizes that while external resources like mentors or formal education can be valuable, the most powerful driver of success is internal — the willingness to continuously learn, grow, and overcome challenges independently. His experiences serve as both a guide and an inspiration for those looking to forge their own path in any field.
