Telangana State Labor, Women and Child Welfare and Skills Development Minister Shri Chamakura Malla Reddy said that one should adhere to the time rule and make the most of the time and hold high positions in life. Mr. Malla Reddy, who was the chief guest at the 15th Graduation Ceremony, Campus Recruitment and Alumni Ceremony held on Saturday at Malla Reddy Engineering College - Main Campus in Mysammaguda in Mandal He explained that he grew up as a politician, elected as a member of Parliament and the Legislative Assembly, and rose to become a cabinet-level minister, until the establishment of a variety of standing higher education institutions. With a general education, he explained that he had achieved all these with his own strength and untiring efforts. The student, who is entering the field of employment today with an engineering degree, suggested that students take inspiration from his presidency. Welcoming the audience, Dr. A. Ramaswami Reddy, Director, said that this was an unforgettable moment in student’s college life and they should remember for the rest of their lives the extraordinary moments of receiving their engineering degree as a result of four years of hard work. He wished to never forget the parents who gave birth, the college where higher education was taught and the country where life was given. 886 students were eligible to receive engineering degrees and 124 students were eligible to receive postgraduate degrees. The Director announced amidst the jubilation of the members that Kasturi Vedanta Srinivas student of ECE with 9.99 CGPA has emerged as the leader. He said the annual salary of Rs 12 lakh was the highest salary in campus recruitment this year. Dr. A. Ramaswami Reddy concluded his speech by describing the various training programs being imparted to students from the first year onwards to increase campus recruitment. Afterwards, Dr. Ramaswami Reddy pledged with the students that they would use their skills, knowledge and experience for the betterment of the society, uphold the values of morality and dedication, and act as a trusted representative to the college and university. Participating as the Guest of Honor, Mr. Rami Reddy, Chairman, CREDAI Hyderabad, explained the lessons he has learned from the defeats he has faced in his life and the many challenges he has faced in his business life. "We are working to make our company a company worth Rs 5,000 crore by 2030," he said. Malla Reddy Educational Institutions Secretary Shri Mahender Reddy's wife Mrs. Shalini Reddy said that the students who have been trained in various training programs conducted in the college aspire to climb higher peaks in their careers as the sky is the limit. The students said with an open voice that they were very happy to participate in this graduation ceremony which was held in a festive atmosphere and receive the engineering degree in the presence of their parents. College alumni in top positions at various institutions also participated in the program. Former Registrar of JNTUH Prof. Rami Reddy, Former Rector Prof. Sai Baba Reddy were the special guests at the event which was attended by Deans, Heads of Departments. The event was coordinated by Dr. T. V. Surendranatha Reddy and Dr. P. Sri Hari. Many cultural events organized under the auspices of the Students’ Associations Council (SAC) have received the patronage of the members.

Scientific management of OB slopes, dumps suggested to reduce mishap About one- tenth of accidents in the mining activity in the country are taking place due to unstable overburden dumps, deputy director general (south central zone) Malay Tikedar has said and stressed the need for higher importance to safety in mining at a time when the role of private sector is increasing in the mining sector. Speaking at the inaugural session of a week-long virtual (online) faculty training on “Stabilisation and Strengthening of Steep slope overburden dumps in opencast mines – Problems & Solutions” organized by the mining engineering department of Mallareddy Engineering college here on Monday, Mr.Tikedar asked the engineers participating in the programme, from different parts of the country, to find out solutions to accidents due to sloping overburden dumps. Increasing safety in the mining activity would not only increase in the production but would ensure better safety to miners, he said. Director (operations) of singareni collieries company Ltd S. Chandrasekhar explained the practices in singareni in managing the overburden slopes and dumps. He stated that overburden slopes and dumps are formed during the quarrying in opencast mines. He said singareni was the first mining company in the country to use LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) for accurate information on managing the overburden slopes and dumps. Experts in the mining sector from selected organisations and mining colleges such as SCCL, CIA Global Venture, Midwest Granite, IITISM Dhanbad, NIT Rourkela, NIT Suratkal, JNTU(H), Osmania University and a few other colleges participated in the online event.

A 10-day internship on Python was organised for second year Information Technology (IT) students of B.
