Interaction with Delegates from US Universities

The college organized an Interaction with delegates from the US universities in the Major Auditorium on 7th September 2015. The senior students from various branches interacted with the delegates. The program was organized to assist those students who wish to study abroad. The interaction with delegates from US universities has enabled the students to know about application fee waiver, scholarship support and relaxation of GRE & TOEFL scores to get admission into US universities.

Guest Lecture on Robotics and Factory Automation

A Guest Lecture on Robotics and Factory Automation was held on 08th November 2016 from 10 am to 1 pm in the IBM Lab, Main Block for the ECE III year students. Mr. Vishnu Chittam, Project Executive at Involute Automation Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad was the facilitator of the event. The event was organized to familiarize students with Factory robotic automation. The participants learned that factory robotic automation is the process of integrating industrial machinery for tasks such as welding, material handling and assembly. The participants realized that automated robotic systems to a factory has many advantages such as saving money, increase in production, and creation of higher-quality parts. They have also understood that integrating automated robots into a workplace generally requires a high initial investment, but the ROI time is minimal. To combat this issue, many companies are turning to reconditioned used robots. This allows the company to purchase a larger quantity of robots. A reconditioned automated robot offers the automation benefits such improved labor productivity, reduction in cycle time and floor space utilization, quality and reliability improvement, consistency in processing, reduction of waste and lower production costs.

Seminar on 3D Printing

A seminar on 3D printing was conducted in the Conference Hall of Mechanical Engineering on 2nd July 2016 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the students of ME II year. Dr. Y. Ravi Kumar, Associate Professor at NIT, Warangal educated the students on the opportunities of 3D printing. He opined that 3D printing is a rapidly growing technology, and the engineering students who have an eye for precision, and detail will stand to gain in this field. The event was planned to guide students to be familiar with 3D CAD (computer-aided design) in order to plan and design projects, and to stay abreast of the latest technical breakthroughs and market demands for 3D printing, whether it’s custom prosthetics or high-tech fashions.

A Workshop on Scope and Career Choices of Engineering Branches was held in the Major Auditorium on 19th November 2016 from 1 pm to 4 pm for the students of I year all branches. Mr. Sesha Sai, Managing Director of Best Engineering Technologies, Hyderabad conducted the workshop. The program provided details on the scope and career choices of engineering branches. It focused on engineering capabilities and technologies that bring about qualitative changes in varied spheres of human life. Through the program, students came to know what each branch of engineering deals with, hard and soft skills related to each branch, the types of available and upcoming job openings for each branch and the leading recruiters for all the branches. The program stressed on the need for engineering education to contribute significantly by directing its efforts toward reductions in the use of fossil fuels, sustainable transport and agricultural practices, harnessing solar energy, securing cyber space, and provision of new-age medical devices and therapy systems.

One-Day Awareness Program on Women in Engineering

A One-Day Awareness Program on Women in Engineering was organized on 11th January 2017 from 10 am to 3 pm in the ECE Classroom for the faculty and students of ECE. Ms. B. Vijaya Lakshmi, Associate Professor at VELS was the key speaker. She contended that attracting more women into engineering sector could be vital for economic growth and financial stability of nation. She added that despite the great strides made toward gender equality over the last century, there were still a number of arenas where women are under-represented in the workforce. She expresses the need for women participation in the engineering industry. The event was organized to enable participants to know about prospects and challenges for women in the field of engineering. The speaker stressed on the need to make efforts to increase the number of females working in STEM fields.

Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair

The Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair was held on the campus on 18th September 2017. The event was organized in collaboration with ABACUS Overseas Education Advisors Private Limited (ABACUS Group, the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair. Senior students from various branches interacted with the delegates. The fair gave our students an opportunity to look at the various options available to students aspiring for higher studies in USA, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Students had an opportunity to assess their needs and aspirations. The interaction with delegates from the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair enabled the participants to know about USA, and Canada education system and admission requirements. They also learned about scholarships and financial aid, F1 visa guidance, Dos and Don’ts to apply for USA Universities, ETS exam preparations and requirements of Canada SPP procedures.

A Workshop on Entrepreneurship in Emerging Technologies was held in the Major Auditorium on 31st October 2017 from 2 pm to 4 pm for the students of ME and CE IV year. Mr. Ratan Rithwik, mentor with PAN INDIA STARTUP HUB, an initiative of iB hubs, iB Group explained that entrepreneurship is about execution of ideas. He impressed upon the participants to take actions to hone entrepreneurial abilities to transform the world. He advised the students to design and run startups to find solutions to pressing problems. He asserted that emerging technologies present both unique challenges and tremendous opportunities for those individuals who focus their search for competitive advantage on them. The program made students aware of emerging technologies that will drive entrepreneurship such as internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and Neuroscience.

A Workshop on Personal Behaviors and Personality Traits was held in the Major Auditorium on 31st October 2017 from 10 AM to 1 PM for the students of I year all branches. Mr. Naga Prasad, Director of Yuvaraj Motivators PVT LTD conducted the workshop and shared useful nuggets of wisdom concerning personality improvement. The program provided students with detailed information on personal behaviors such as appearance, clothing styles, dressing styles, hairstyles, and mannerisms and personality traits such as confidence, optimism, trust, integrity, and reliability. Tips on small talk and interpersonal relations were also given. The program also stressed on other useful aspects such as creating the best first impression, remaining sober and calm, avoiding showing off branded gadgets and clothes, wearing appropriate shoes, being sociable and friendly, avoiding fiddling with hair, nails, and having good manners and mannerisms.

Career Guidance Seminar

A Seminar on Career Guidance was organized in the Conference Hall of the ECE block on 11th January 2018 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of II-year ECE & CSE II. Mr. Kranthi Kumar, Director, GATE Hyderabad Office of the Time Institute conducted the program in a refreshing manner. The program made students aware of career options for various engineering streams and the strategies required to enhance the knowledge of aptitude, reasoning and logic, communication and coding skills. The program trained students to develop requisite knowledge on the topics such as interview skills, resume preparation, and group discussions. The speaker focused on students' educational and work backgrounds in order to help them determine what they need to do next to achieve their goals. He also advised students about what courses and educational programs they need for particular careers. He also spoke about how to locate sources of financial support to pay for college and other training programs.

Soft Skills for Engineering Students

A Workshop on Top Soft Skills for Engineering Students was organized on 21/12/2018 from 10 am to 3 pm in the Major Auditorium for the students of III year all branches. Mr. Naga Prasad, Director of Yuvaraj Motivators PVT LTD conducted the workshop to provide hands on experience on picking up the knowledge of soft skills. The speaker contended that soft skills are important as or more important than technical skills in today’s changing work environment. The program provided essential knowledge in key areas of soft skills such as the ability to work under pressure, problem-solving skills, creativity, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and team working skills. Through the program, the participants have learned that soft skills enable them better relationships with others, perform well in various situations- academic and job and yield optimal productivity. The facilitator made the session highly interactive and pleasurable with his jovial and charming personality and relevant examples from academic field and the work environment. He explained the concepts with some video clippings. This session was an eye opener for one and all present for the session. Students enjoyed this session thoroughly.

Personality Development Skill Program

A Personality Development Skill Program was conducted for the students of I ECE and CSE on 28/08/2018 from 10 am to 1 pm in the Mini Auditorium. The speaker Ms. Indira Priya Kasbha, freelance motivational speaker & business consultant, Hyderabad educated the participants about developing their self-image. The speaker asserted that Personality Development is an enduring process of fostering, shaping and enhancing individuals’ skills, knowledge and interests to ascertain their maximum efficacy. The participants picked up useful tips for building their self-confidence, enhancing their self-esteem and improving their overall personality. The program also sensitized the students about proper social and professional behavior to be adopted in the educational institutions and workplaces. The event enabled the participants to become aware of social and business etiquette, and good manners. The students were happy that the program helped them understand the skills and strategies they need to hone their personal and professional image.

Workshop on Recent Developments in Mine Safety Legislation

A Workshop on Recent Developments in Mine Safety Legislation was organized for I and II-year students of Mining Engineering on 29th December 2018 from 1:30 pm to 3: 30 pm in the Conference Hall, Mining Block. Dr. Shyam Mishra, Director of Mine Safety, Chennai conducted the workshop to enlighten the students on reducing risks associated with mining works, The program was organized to enhance students’ knowledge pertaining to mine safety. Safety has long been a concern in the mining business, especially in underground mining. Students learned about the practice of controlling and managing a wide range of hazards associated with the life cycle of mining-related activities. They were also educated about the implementation of recognized hazard controls and/or reduction of risks associated with mining activities to legally, socially and morally acceptable levels. The participants learned not only about reducing health and safety risks to mine workers, but also about the reduction of risks to plant (machinery) together with the structure and ore body of the mine.

Seminar on Employability Skills and New Age Skills

A seminar on Employability Skills and New Age Skills was organized in the Major Auditorium on 16th February 2019 from 10: 30 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of CSE and ECE III year. The program was conducted to promote students’ awareness on developing employability skills in tune with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Students understood that technological advances could impact the existing job market. Automation could lead to disappearance of some jobs and creation of new jobs. The students have been asked to gear themselves up to changing job market situation and develop requisite skills in new age areas to become industry ready.

Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

The Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning was conducted on 21st December 2019 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm in the Major Auditorium of the college for the students of CSE II year. The speaker, Mr. B. Srinivas, a freelance AI trainer based in Hyderabad, explained the concepts of AI and ML. The students learned about the capabilities and the roles of machines. They learned that MI is an application of AI that provides the system the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience. They understood how to generate a program by integrating input and output of that program. The session was very practical and it contained real life situations to enable students to grasp the concepts.

“Corporate Challenges and Opportunities”

The Guest lecture “Corporate Challenges and Opportunities” was conducted on 6th March, 2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the Seminar Hall of MBA Block for the students of MBA I & II year. Mr.Rayapu Boyapati, HR Manager, IBM, Hyderabad was the chief guest for the occasion. The program enabled the students to understand the challenges and opportunities that directly impact the end goals of business which include funding opportunities, business accreditation, globalization efforts, entrepreneurship programs, energy and sustainability initiatives, executive education offerings. The lecture was very informative and contained a lot of day to day examples and familiar case studies.

“Global Higher Education Opportunities”

The seminar “Global Higher Education Opportunities” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 5th March 2020 from 2 PM to 4 PM for III B.Tech. CSE and ECE students. The speaker, Mr. U. V. Raghava Reddy, Working Partner of Conduira interacted with students and enhanced students’ awareness about higher education opportunities across the nations. The program was of immense help to those students who wished to study abroad. The interaction with the guest has enabled the students to know about application fee waiver, scholarship support and relaxation of GRE & TOEFL scores to get admission into universities abroad. They also came to know differences in compensation between engineering jobs straight after graduating in India and after pursuing higher education abroad. The speaker gave details about the universities in the US such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, Harvard University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of California, Berkeley (UCB), Princeton University and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

“Awareness Program on Road Safety and Anti-Ragging Measures”

The event “Awareness Program on Road Safety and Anti-Ragging Measures” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 12/02/2021 from 10 am to 12 am for students of all branches I B. Tech. the program was attended by Sri. Ramalinga Raju, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pate Basheerabad, Hyderabad and his team. Pate Basheerabad Assistant Commissioner of Police Shri Ramalinga Raju said that students should grow as responsible and proud citizens of the country. He advised the students to use their energies and talent to acquire knowledge about road safety and impart the same to others so that many precious lives, which are lost due to various road accidents, could be saved. He also appealed to the students that students over the age of 18 and who possess valid driver's license should only drive on the roads after acquiring knowledge of road safety. Wearing a helmet, driving under prescribed speed limit, and hazards of drunken driving are the other matters related to road safety that were stressed in the program. Later, Pate Basheerabad Police Station SI Shri Ramesh in his speech explained the need for helmet and displayed videos of accidents on various occasions on the roads of twin cities. Dr. A. Ramaswami Reddy, Director of the College and Mr. Praveen Reddy, Director of Malla Reddy Group of Educational Institutions spoke about anti-ragging measures in place on the campus. The police department, the college management and the staff assured the freshers that student safety is given top priority on and off the campus. The event was also attended by Dean, H & S, Dr T.V. Surendranatha Reddy, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr P. Sreehari and some faculty of the college.

“Experiences and Opportunities for Mining Engineers in Industry, Academia and Research”

The seminar “Experiences and Opportunities for Mining Engineers in Industry, Academia and Research” was organized on 08/02/2021 from 10 am to 4 pm in the Conference Hall of Mining Block for students of II, III & IV year Mining Department. The program enlightened students on the availability of career opportunities for mining engineering students. Students came to know how to equip themselves with regard to technical and soft skills competencies so that they become relevant in the changing jobscape. They understood that different areas of mining industry open up multiple job offers at various levels in India and abroad. The event was very practical and all the speakers gave useful tips for students on mining engineering concepts, needs and demands of the industry and job market scenario. This seminar is a useful platform for the students to assimilate the various opportunities available to them. Experts from various fields of mining and allied engineering shared their personal experiences and educated the students on expectations of recruiting companies during campus recruitment drives. The program provided the students benefits such as awareness about various avenues of employment for Mining Engineers, tips for preparing for competitive examinations (including GATE) and interviews and the information about subjects on which to concentrate based on the company and its nature of operations.

The seminar “Blueprint for Academic and Placement Success” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 4th February 2021from 2 PM to 4 PM for I B.Tech. students of all branches. Ms. Hemalatha of Arena Technologies, Hyderabad was the speaker of the program. The seminar was organized to enhance students’ awareness about using infra structural facilities together with curricular, cocurricular and extracurricular activities. The program gave students detailed analysis about utilizing activities/events scheduled on the academic calendar. The interaction with the guest has enabled the students to realize the importance of developing technical skills, communication skills and soft skills. They also came to know the present day job market demands and trends and opportunities for pursuing higher education abroad. Among other things, the event enabled the students to learn about: a) utilizing infrastructural facilities of the college and b) opportunities for graphics and multimedia specialists.

The seminar titled “Achieving Success by Overcoming Stress and Distractions” was held in the Major Auditorium of the college on 22/03/2021 from 1:40 pm to 4: 10 pm for II and III B. Tech students. The program started with the host Aashritha of III ECE inviting the speaker, Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, Director, Prof. A. Ramaswamy Reddy, Dean of Industry Institute Interaction Cell, Prof. S. Venkata Ramaiah and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. P. Sreehari. Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, the speaker for the event is a renowned motivational speaker, psychologist and soft skills trainer. The speaker shared several nuggets of wisdom which would enable students to achieve academic and professional success by overcoming factors such as negativity, hesitation, distractions, stress and anxiety. The speaker urged the students to develop sane habits such as proper sleep, waking up early, respecting elders, parents and teachers. He gave them tips which are useful for achieving focus and overcoming distractions related to gadgets. He also told them to be sincere and dedicated in their studies, making the positive use of technology, time and teachers. The Director also spoke on the occasion and advised the students to follow the techniques provided by the speaker to steer clear of the distractions and the stress. He also felicitated the guest with a shawl and memento and expressed appreciation for conducting the seminar in an interactive and entertaining way. A few students spoke right after the speaker finished his seminar and gave their instant feedback. They expressed their happiness for conducting such a useful program. The program ended with the Dean, Student Affairs thanking the guest for a memorable presentation. He also thanked the Director and also the Dean of Industry Institute Interaction Cell. He also conveyed his thanks to other faculty members who took active part in making the seminar a success.

15th Graduation, Placement and Alumni Day

The Event 15th Graduation, Placement & Alumni Day of the college was held on 6th March 2021. The event was organized successfully as the various committees that were constituted for the purpose worked collaboratively and cooperatively. The Director and the Central Coordinators interacted with the coordinators and members of various committees regularly. Guests and Speakers of the Day The Director of the college, Prof. A. Ramaswami Reddy gave the welcome address. He welcomed all the dignitaries and guests and spoke about the achievements of the college in various spheres. He congratulated the graduating students, placed students and alumni for their achievements and contribution and urged them to make the best use of technology for their professional enrichment. He also administered the Graduation Pledge to the fresh graduates. The Chief Guest and the Founder Chairman, Sri. Ch. Malla Reddy spoke about the transformation of his life from a milk vendor to an eminent educationist and a political leader. He remarked that hard work is the only secret for whatsoever success he claimed all through his life. Guest of Honour Sri. G. Ram Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director of ARK Infrastructure PVT LTD. Through his vision and passion for civil engineering and construction, Mr. Ram Reddy led the ARK Group with 31 years of success. With his strong experience in engineering and management, he established a reputed organization and team of professionals that executed a wide range of projects from residential buildings to commercial establishments, educational institutions, and industrial units, among others. Ark Group, under Mr. Ram Reddy’s leadership gained high quality recognition with CRISIL’s 5 star rating and awards from Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri YS Rajshekar Reddy, Hon’ble CM, Sri Rosaiah, Hon’ble CM, Sri Kiran Kumar Reddy and Hon’ble Governor Sri Rangarajan. Another Guest of Honour, Prof. E. Sai Baba Reddy who worked as the Vice Principal of JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad gave his valuable speech and enlightened the students about need for upgrading their skills and knowledge and development of innovative abilities for entrepreneurial and career success. Celebrating the Graduation Most graduates of all the departments attended the program. They were very enthusiastic and looked colorful in their graduation robes. The toppers were awarded medals and other graduates were given Certificates of Academic Excellence. Appreciating Job Placements Students who got placed came to the event along with their parents. Both the student and the parents were felicitated with a shawl and a memento. Students also received Certificates of Appreciation. Bonding with the Alumni Many of our alumni participated in the event very enthusiastically. Around 70 alumni registered for the programme. More than 40 attended the program. Alumni were felicitated with a shawl and a memento. Some of them spoke about their success stories – how they designed and initiated their own start-ups and excelled in their career. They also participated in the cake cutting program and had a good time. Vote of Thanks The H&S Dean and one of the Central Coordinators, Prof. T. V. Surendranatha Reddy proposed the vote of thanks. A Seminar on Career Guidance was organized in the Conference Hall of the ECE block on 11th January 2018 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of II-year ECE & CSE II. Mr. Kranthi Kumar, Director, GATE Hyderabad Office of the Time Institute conducted the program in a refreshing manner. The program made students aware of career options for various engineering streams and the strategies required to enhance the knowledge of aptitude, reasoning and logic, communication and coding skills. The program trained students to develop requisite knowledge on the topics such as interview skills, resume preparation, and group discussions. The speaker focused on students' educational and work backgrounds in order to help them determine what they need to do next to achieve their goals. He also advised students about what courses and educational programs they need for particular careers. He also spoke about how to locate sources of financial support to pay for college and other training programs.

A Workshop on Top Soft Skills for Engineering Students was organized on 21/12/2018 from 10 am to 3 pm in the Major Auditorium for the students of III year all branches. Mr. Naga Prasad, Director of Yuvaraj Motivators PVT LTD conducted the workshop to provide hands on experience on picking up the knowledge of soft skills. The speaker contended that soft skills are important as or more important than technical skills in today’s changing work environment. The program provided essential knowledge in key areas of soft skills such as the ability to work under pressure, problem-solving skills, creativity, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and team working skills. Through the program, the participants have learned that soft skills enable them better relationships with others, perform well in various situations- academic and job and yield optimal productivity. The speaker Ms. Indira Priya Kasbha, freelance motivational speaker & business consultant, Hyderabad educated the participants about developing their self-image. The speaker asserted that Personality Development is an enduring process of fostering, shaping and enhancing individuals’ skills, knowledge and interests to ascertain their maximum efficacy. The participants picked up useful tips for building their self-confidence, enhancing their self-esteem and improving their overall personality. A Workshop on Recent Developments in Mine Safety Legislation was organized for I and II-year students of Mining Engineering on 29th December 2018 from 1:30 pm to 3: 30 pm in the Conference Hall, Mining Block. Dr. Shyam Mishra, Director of Mine Safety, Chennai conducted the workshop to enlighten the students on reducing risks associated with mining works, The program was organized to enhance students’ knowledge pertaining to mine safety. Safety has long been a concern in the mining business, especially in underground mining. Students learned about the practice of controlling and managing a wide range of hazards associated with the life cycle of mining-related activities. They were also educated about the implementation of recognized hazard controls and/or reduction of risks associated with mining activities to legally, socially and morally acceptable levels. The participants learned not only about reducing health and safety risks to mine workers, but also about the reduction of risks to plant (machinery) together with the structure and ore body of the mine.

They learned that MI is an application of AI that provides the system the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience. The Guest lecture “Corporate Challenges and Opportunities” was conducted on 6th March, 2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the Seminar Hall of MBA Block for the students of MBA I & II year. Mr.Rayapu Boyapati, HR Manager, IBM, Hyderabad was the chief guest for the occasion. The program enabled the students to understand the challenges and opportunities that directly impact the end goals of business which include funding opportunities, business accreditation, globalization efforts, entrepreneurship programs, energy and sustainability initiatives, executive education offerings. The seminar “Global Higher Education Opportunities” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 5th March 2020 from 2 PM to 4 PM for III B.Tech. CSE and ECE students. The speaker, Mr. U. V. Raghava Reddy, Working Partner of Conduira interacted with students and enhanced students’ awareness about higher education opportunities across the nations. The program was of immense help to those students who wished to study abroad. The interaction with the guest has enabled the students to know about application fee waiver, scholarship support and relaxation of GRE & TOEFL scores to get admission into universities abroad. They also came to know differences in compensation between engineering jobs straight after graduating in India and after pursuing higher education abroad. The speaker gave details about the universities in the US such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, Harvard University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of California, Berkeley (UCB), Princeton University and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

The event “Awareness Program on Road Safety and Anti-Ragging Measures” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 12/02/2021 from 10 am to 12 am for students of all branches I B. Tech. the program was attended by Sri. Ramalinga Raju, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pate Basheerabad, Hyderabad and his team. Pate Basheerabad Assistant Commissioner of Police Shri Ramalinga Raju said that students should grow as responsible and proud citizens of the country. He advised the students to use their energies and talent to acquire knowledge about road safety and impart the same to others so that many precious lives, which are lost due to various road accidents, could be saved. He also appealed to the students that students over the age of 18 and who possess valid driver's license should only drive on the roads after acquiring knowledge of road safety. Wearing a helmet, driving under prescribed speed limit, and hazards of drunken driving are the other matters related to road safety that were stressed in the program. Later, Pate Basheerabad Police Station SI Shri Ramesh in his speech explained the need for helmet and displayed videos of accidents on various occasions on the roads of twin cities. Dr. A. Ramaswami Reddy, Director of the College and Mr. Praveen Reddy, Director of Malla Reddy Group of Educational Institutions spoke about anti-ragging measures in place on the campus. The police department, the college management and the staff assured the freshers that student safety is given top priority on and off the campus. The event was also attended by Dean, H & S, Dr T.V. Surendranatha Reddy, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr P. Sreehari and some faculty of the college.

The seminar “Experiences and Opportunities for Mining Engineers in Industry, Academia and Research” was organized on 08/02/2021 from 10 am to 4 pm in the Conference Hall of Mining Block for students of II, III & IV year Mining Department. The program enlightened students on the availability of career opportunities for mining engineering students. Students came to know how to equip themselves with regard to technical and soft skills competencies so that they become relevant in the changing jobscape. They understood that different areas of mining industry open up multiple job offers at various levels in India and abroad. The event was very practical and all the speakers gave useful tips for students on mining engineering concepts, needs and demands of the industry and job market scenario. This seminar is a useful platform for the students to assimilate the various opportunities available to them. Experts from various fields of mining and allied engineering shared their personal experiences and educated the students on expectations of recruiting companies during campus recruitment drives. The program provided the students benefits such as awareness about various avenues of employment for Mining Engineers, tips for preparing for competitive examinations (including GATE) and interviews and the information about subjects on which to concentrate based on the company and its nature of operations.

The seminar titled “Blueprint for Academic and Placement Success”

The seminar “Blueprint for Academic and Placement Success” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 4th February 2021from 2 PM to 4 PM for I B.Tech. students of all branches. Ms. Hemalatha of Arena Technologies, Hyderabad was the speaker of the program. The seminar was organized to enhance students’ awareness about using infra structural facilities together with curricular, cocurricular and extracurricular activities. The program gave students detailed analysis about utilizing activities/events scheduled on the academic calendar. The interaction with the guest has enabled the students to realize the importance of developing technical skills, communication skills and soft skills. They also came to know the present day job market demands and trends and opportunities for pursuing higher education abroad. Among other things, the event enabled the students to learn about: a) utilizing infrastructural facilities of the college and b) opportunities for graphics and multimedia specialists.

The seminar titled “Achieving Success by Overcoming Stress and Distractions” was held in the Major Auditorium of the college on 22/03/2021 from 1:40 pm to 4: 10 pm for II and III B. Tech students. The program started with the host Aashritha of III ECE inviting the speaker, Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, Director, Prof. A. Ramaswamy Reddy, Dean of Industry Institute Interaction Cell, Prof. S. Venkata Ramaiah and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. P. Sreehari. Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, the speaker for the event is a renowned motivational speaker, psychologist and soft skills trainer. The speaker shared several nuggets of wisdom which would enable students to achieve academic and professional success by overcoming factors such as negativity, hesitation, distractions, stress and anxiety. The speaker urged the students to develop sane habits such as proper sleep, waking up early, respecting elders, parents and teachers. He gave them tips which are useful for achieving focus and overcoming distractions related to gadgets. He also told them to be sincere and dedicated in their studies, making the positive use of technology, time and teachers. The Director also spoke on the occasion and advised the students to follow the techniques provided by the speaker to steer clear of the distractions and the stress. He also felicitated the guest with a shawl and memento and expressed appreciation for conducting the seminar in an interactive and entertaining way. A few students spoke right after the speaker finished his seminar and gave their instant feedback. They expressed their happiness for conducting such a useful program. The program ended with the Dean, Student Affairs thanking the guest for a memorable presentation. He also thanked the Director and also the Dean of Industry Institute Interaction Cell. 15th Graduation, Placement and Alumni Day

The Event 15th Graduation, Placement & Alumni Day of the college was held on 6th March 2021. The event was organized successfully as the various committees that were constituted for the purpose worked collaboratively and cooperatively. The Director and the Central Coordinators interacted with the coordinators and members of various committees regularly. Guests and Speakers of the Day The Director of the college, Prof. A. Ramaswami Reddy gave the welcome address. He welcomed all the dignitaries and guests and spoke about the achievements of the college in various spheres. He congratulated the graduating students, placed students and alumni for their achievements and contribution and urged them to make the best use of technology for their professional enrichment. He also administered the Graduation Pledge to the fresh graduates. The Chief Guest and the Founder Chairman, Sri. Ch. Malla Reddy spoke about the transformation of his life from a milk vendor to an eminent educationist and a political leader. He remarked that hard work is the only secret for whatsoever success he claimed all through his life. Guest of Honour Sri. G. Ram Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director of ARK Infrastructure PVT LTD. Through his vision and passion for civil engineering and construction, Mr. Ram Reddy led the ARK Group with 31 years of success. With his strong experience in engineering and management, he established a reputed organization and team of professionals that executed a wide range of projects from residential buildings to commercial establishments, educational institutions, and industrial units, among others. Ark Group, under Mr. Ram Reddy’s leadership gained high quality recognition with CRISIL’s 5 star rating and awards from Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri YS Rajshekar Reddy, Hon’ble CM, Sri Rosaiah, Hon’ble CM, Sri Kiran Kumar Reddy and Hon’ble Governor Sri Rangarajan. Another Guest of Honour, Prof. E. Sai Baba Reddy who worked as the Vice Principal of JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad gave his valuable speech and enlightened the students about need for upgrading their skills and knowledge and development of innovative abilities for entrepreneurial and career success. Celebrating the Graduation Most graduates of all the departments attended the program. They were very enthusiastic and looked colorful in their graduation robes. The toppers were awarded medals and other graduates were given Certificates of Academic Excellence. Appreciating Job Placements Students who got placed came to the event along with their parents. Both the student and the parents were felicitated with a shawl and a memento. Students also received Certificates of Appreciation. Bonding with the Alumni Many of our alumni participated in the event very enthusiastically. Around 70 alumni registered for the programme. More than 40 attended the program. Alumni were felicitated with a shawl and a memento. Some of them spoke about their success stories – how they designed and initiated their own start-ups and excelled in their career. A Guest Lecture on Robotics and Factory Automation was held on 08th November 2016 from 10 am to 1 pm in the IBM Lab, Main Block for the ECE III year students. Mr. Vishnu Chittam, Project Executive at Involute Automation Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad was the facilitator of the event. The event was organized to familiarize students with Factory robotic automation. The participants learned that factory robotic automation is the process of integrating industrial machinery for tasks such as welding, material handling and assembly. The participants realized that automated robotic systems to a factory has many advantages such as saving money, increase in production, and creation of higher-quality parts. They have also understood that integrating automated robots into a workplace generally requires a high initial investment, but the ROI time is minimal. To combat this issue, many companies are turning to reconditioned used robots. This allows the company to purchase a larger quantity of robots. A reconditioned automated robot offers the automation benefits such improved labor productivity, reduction in cycle time and floor space utilization, quality and reliability improvement, consistency in processing, reduction of waste and lower production costs.

A seminar on 3D printing was conducted in the Conference Hall of Mechanical Engineering on 2nd July 2016 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the students of ME II year. Dr. Y. Ravi Kumar, Associate Professor at NIT, Warangal educated the students on the opportunities of 3D printing. He opined that 3D printing is a rapidly growing technology, and the engineering students who have an eye for precision, and detail will stand to gain in this field. The event was planned to guide students to be familiar with 3D CAD (computer-aided design) in order to plan and design projects, and to stay abreast of the latest technical breakthroughs and market demands for 3D printing, whether it’s custom prosthetics or high-tech fashions.

A Workshop on Scope and Career Choices of Engineering Branches was held in the Major Auditorium on 19th November 2016 from 1 pm to 4 pm for the students of I year all branches. Mr. Sesha Sai, Managing Director of Best Engineering Technologies, Hyderabad conducted the workshop. The program provided details on the scope and career choices of engineering branches. It focused on engineering capabilities and technologies that bring about qualitative changes in varied spheres of human life. Through the program, students came to know what each branch of engineering deals with, hard and soft skills related to each branch, the types of available and upcoming job openings for each branch and the leading recruiters for all the branches. The program stressed on the need for engineering education to contribute significantly by directing its efforts toward reductions in the use of fossil fuels, sustainable transport and agricultural practices, harnessing solar energy, securing cyber space, and provision of new-age medical devices and therapy systems.

A One-Day Awareness Program on Women in Engineering was organized on 11th January 2017 from 10 am to 3 pm in the ECE Classroom for the faculty and students of ECE. Ms. B. Vijaya Lakshmi, Associate Professor at VELS was the key speaker. She contended that attracting more women into engineering sector could be vital for economic growth and financial stability of nation. She added that despite the great strides made toward gender equality over the last century, there were still a number of arenas where women are under-represented in the workforce. She expresses the need for women participation in the engineering industry. The event was organized to enable participants to know about prospects and challenges for women in the field of engineering. The speaker stressed on the need to make efforts to increase the number of females working in STEM fields.

Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair

The Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair was held on the campus on 18th September 2017. The event was organized in collaboration with ABACUS Overseas Education Advisors Private Limited (ABACUS Group, the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair. Senior students from various branches interacted with the delegates. The fair gave our students an opportunity to look at the various options available to students aspiring for higher studies in USA, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Students had an opportunity to assess their needs and aspirations. The interaction with delegates from the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair enabled the participants to know about USA, and Canada education system and admission requirements. They also learned about scholarships and financial aid, F1 visa guidance, Dos and Don’ts to apply for USA Universities, ETS exam preparations and requirements of Canada SPP procedures.

The event “Awareness Program on Road Safety and Anti-Ragging Measures” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 12/02/2021 from 10 am to 12 am for students of all branches I B. Tech. the program was attended by Sri. Ramalinga Raju, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pate Basheerabad, Hyderabad and his team. Pate Basheerabad Assistant Commissioner of Police Shri Ramalinga Raju said that students should grow as responsible and proud citizens of the country. He advised the students to use their energies and talent to acquire knowledge about road safety and impart the same to others so that many precious lives, which are lost due to various road accidents, could be saved. He also appealed to the students that students over the age of 18 and who possess valid driver's license should only drive on the roads after acquiring knowledge of road safety. Wearing a helmet, driving under prescribed speed limit, and hazards of drunken driving are the other matters related to road safety that were stressed in the program. Later, Pate Basheerabad Police Station SI Shri Ramesh in his speech explained the need for helmet and displayed videos of accidents on various occasions on the roads of twin cities. Dr. A. The speaker shared several nuggets of wisdom which would enable students to achieve academic and professional success by overcoming factors such as negativity, hesitation, distractions, stress and anxiety. He gave them tips which are useful for achieving focus and overcoming distractions related to gadgets. 15th Graduation, Placement and Alumni Day

The Event 15th Graduation, Placement & Alumni Day of the college was held on 6th March 2021. The event was organized successfully as the various committees that were constituted for the purpose worked collaboratively and cooperatively. The Director and the Central Coordinators interacted with the coordinators and members of various committees regularly. Guests and Speakers of the Day The Director of the college, Prof. A. Another Guest of Honour, Prof. E. Sai Baba Reddy who worked as the Vice Principal of JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad gave his valuable speech and enlightened the students about need for upgrading their skills and knowledge and development of innovative abilities for entrepreneurial and career success. Celebrating the Graduation Most graduates of all the departments attended the program. They were very enthusiastic and looked colorful in their graduation robes. The toppers were awarded medals and other graduates were given Certificates of Academic Excellence. Appreciating Job Placements Students who got placed came to the event along with their parents. Both the student and the parents were felicitated with a shawl and a memento. Students also received Certificates of Appreciation. Bonding with the Alumni Many of our alumni participated in the event very enthusiastically. Around 70 alumni registered for the programme. More than 40 attended the program. Alumni were felicitated with a shawl and a memento. Some of them spoke about their success stories – how they designed and initiated their own start-ups and excelled in their career. The college organized an Interaction with delegates from the US universities in the Major Auditorium on 7th September 2015. The senior students from various branches interacted with the delegates. The program was organized to assist those students who wish to study abroad. Guest Lecture on Robotics and Factory Automation

A Guest Lecture on Robotics and Factory Automation was held on 08th November 2016 from 10 am to 1 pm in the IBM Lab, Main Block for the ECE III year students. Mr. Vishnu Chittam, Project Executive at Involute Automation Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad was the facilitator of the event. The event was organized to familiarize students with Factory robotic automation. The participants learned that factory robotic automation is the process of integrating industrial machinery for tasks such as welding, material handling and assembly. The participants realized that automated robotic systems to a factory has many advantages such as saving money, increase in production, and creation of higher-quality parts. They have also understood that integrating automated robots into a workplace generally requires a high initial investment, but the ROI time is minimal. To combat this issue, many companies are turning to reconditioned used robots. This allows the company to purchase a larger quantity of robots. A reconditioned automated robot offers the automation benefits such improved labor productivity, reduction in cycle time and floor space utilization, quality and reliability improvement, consistency in processing, reduction of waste and lower production costs.

A seminar on 3D printing was conducted in the Conference Hall of Mechanical Engineering on 2nd July 2016 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the students of ME II year. Dr. Y. Ravi Kumar, Associate Professor at NIT, Warangal educated the students on the opportunities of 3D printing. He opined that 3D printing is a rapidly growing technology, and the engineering students who have an eye for precision, and detail will stand to gain in this field. The event was planned to guide students to be familiar with 3D CAD (computer-aided design) in order to plan and design projects, and to stay abreast of the latest technical breakthroughs and market demands for 3D printing, whether it’s custom prosthetics or high-tech fashions.

A Workshop on Scope and Career Choices of Engineering Branches was held in the Major Auditorium on 19th November 2016 from 1 pm to 4 pm for the students of I year all branches. Mr. Sesha Sai, Managing Director of Best Engineering Technologies, Hyderabad conducted the workshop. The program provided details on the scope and career choices of engineering branches. It focused on engineering capabilities and technologies that bring about qualitative changes in varied spheres of human life. Through the program, students came to know what each branch of engineering deals with, hard and soft skills related to each branch, the types of available and upcoming job openings for each branch and the leading recruiters for all the branches. The program stressed on the need for engineering education to contribute significantly by directing its efforts toward reductions in the use of fossil fuels, sustainable transport and agricultural practices, harnessing solar energy, securing cyber space, and provision of new-age medical devices and therapy systems.

A One-Day Awareness Program on Women in Engineering was organized on 11th January 2017 from 10 am to 3 pm in the ECE Classroom for the faculty and students of ECE. Ms. B. Vijaya Lakshmi, Associate Professor at VELS was the key speaker. She contended that attracting more women into engineering sector could be vital for economic growth and financial stability of nation. She added that despite the great strides made toward gender equality over the last century, there were still a number of arenas where women are under-represented in the workforce. She expresses the need for women participation in the engineering industry. The event was organized to enable participants to know about prospects and challenges for women in the field of engineering. The speaker stressed on the need to make efforts to increase the number of females working in STEM fields.

Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair

The Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair was held on the campus on 18th September 2017. The event was organized in collaboration with ABACUS Overseas Education Advisors Private Limited (ABACUS Group, the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair. Senior students from various branches interacted with the delegates. The fair gave our students an opportunity to look at the various options available to students aspiring for higher studies in USA, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Students had an opportunity to assess their needs and aspirations. The interaction with delegates from the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair enabled the participants to know about USA, and Canada education system and admission requirements. They also learned about scholarships and financial aid, F1 visa guidance, Dos and Don’ts to apply for USA Universities, ETS exam preparations and requirements of Canada SPP procedures.

Mr. Ratan Rithwik, mentor with PAN INDIA STARTUP HUB, an initiative of iB hubs, iB Group explained that entrepreneurship is about execution of ideas. He impressed upon the participants to take actions to hone entrepreneurial abilities to transform the world. He advised the students to design and run startups to find solutions to pressing problems. He asserted that emerging technologies present both unique challenges and tremendous opportunities for those individuals who focus their search for competitive advantage on them. A Seminar on Career Guidance was organized in the Conference Hall of the ECE block on 11th January 2018 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of II-year ECE & CSE II. Mr. Kranthi Kumar, Director, GATE Hyderabad Office of the Time Institute conducted the program in a refreshing manner. The program made students aware of career options for various engineering streams and the strategies required to enhance the knowledge of aptitude, reasoning and logic, communication and coding skills. The program trained students to develop requisite knowledge on the topics such as interview skills, resume preparation, and group discussions. A Workshop on Top Soft Skills for Engineering Students was organized on 21/12/2018 from 10 am to 3 pm in the Major Auditorium for the students of III year all branches. The speaker contended that soft skills are important as or more important than technical skills in today’s changing work environment. Through the program, the participants have learned that soft skills enable them better relationships with others, perform well in various situations- academic and job and yield optimal productivity. He explained the concepts with some video clippings. This session was an eye opener for one and all present for the session. Students enjoyed this session thoroughly.

A Personality Development Skill Program was conducted for the students of I ECE and CSE on 28/08/2018 from 10 am to 1 pm in the Mini Auditorium. The speaker Ms. Indira Priya Kasbha, freelance motivational speaker & business consultant, Hyderabad educated the participants about developing their self-image. The speaker asserted that Personality Development is an enduring process of fostering, shaping and enhancing individuals’ skills, knowledge and interests to ascertain their maximum efficacy. The participants picked up useful tips for building their self-confidence, enhancing their self-esteem and improving their overall personality. The program also sensitized the students about proper social and professional behavior to be adopted in the educational institutions and workplaces. A Workshop on Recent Developments in Mine Safety Legislation was organized for I and II-year students of Mining Engineering on 29th December 2018 from 1:30 pm to 3: 30 pm in the Conference Hall, Mining Block. Dr. Shyam Mishra, Director of Mine Safety, Chennai conducted the workshop to enlighten the students on reducing risks associated with mining works, The program was organized to enhance students’ knowledge pertaining to mine safety. Safety has long been a concern in the mining business, especially in underground mining. Students learned about the practice of controlling and managing a wide range of hazards associated with the life cycle of mining-related activities. They were also educated about the implementation of recognized hazard controls and/or reduction of risks associated with mining activities to legally, socially and morally acceptable levels. The participants learned not only about reducing health and safety risks to mine workers, but also about the reduction of risks to plant (machinery) together with the structure and ore body of the mine.

A seminar on Employability Skills and New Age Skills was organized in the Major Auditorium on 16th February 2019 from 10: 30 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of CSE and ECE III year. Students understood that technological advances could impact the existing job market. Automation could lead to disappearance of some jobs and creation of new jobs. Senior students from various branches interacted with the delegates. The fair gave our students an opportunity to look at the various options available to students aspiring for higher studies in USA, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Mr. Ratan Rithwik, mentor with PAN INDIA STARTUP HUB, an initiative of iB hubs, iB Group explained that entrepreneurship is about execution of ideas. He impressed upon the participants to take actions to hone entrepreneurial abilities to transform the world. He advised the students to design and run startups to find solutions to pressing problems. He asserted that emerging technologies present both unique challenges and tremendous opportunities for those individuals who focus their search for competitive advantage on them. The program provided students with detailed information on personal behaviors such as appearance, clothing styles, dressing styles, hairstyles, and mannerisms and personality traits such as confidence, optimism, trust, integrity, and reliability. Tips on small talk and interpersonal relations were also given. The program also stressed on other useful aspects such as creating the best first impression, remaining sober and calm, avoiding showing off branded gadgets and clothes, wearing appropriate shoes, being sociable and friendly, avoiding fiddling with hair, nails, and having good manners and mannerisms.

A Seminar on Career Guidance was organized in the Conference Hall of the ECE block on 11th January 2018 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of II-year ECE & CSE II. Mr. Kranthi Kumar, Director, GATE Hyderabad Office of the Time Institute conducted the program in a refreshing manner. The program made students aware of career options for various engineering streams and the strategies required to enhance the knowledge of aptitude, reasoning and logic, communication and coding skills. The program trained students to develop requisite knowledge on the topics such as interview skills, resume preparation, and group discussions. The speaker focused on students' educational and work backgrounds in order to help them determine what they need to do next to achieve their goals. He also advised students about what courses and educational programs they need for particular careers. He also spoke about how to locate sources of financial support to pay for college and other training programs.

A Workshop on Top Soft Skills for Engineering Students was organized on 21/12/2018 from 10 am to 3 pm in the Major Auditorium for the students of III year all branches. The speaker contended that soft skills are important as or more important than technical skills in today’s changing work environment. Through the program, the participants have learned that soft skills enable them better relationships with others, perform well in various situations- academic and job and yield optimal productivity. A Workshop on Recent Developments in Mine Safety Legislation was organized for I and II-year students of Mining Engineering on 29th December 2018 from 1:30 pm to 3: 30 pm in the Conference Hall, Mining Block. Dr. Shyam Mishra, Director of Mine Safety, Chennai conducted the workshop to enlighten the students on reducing risks associated with mining works, The program was organized to enhance students’ knowledge pertaining to mine safety. Safety has long been a concern in the mining business, especially in underground mining. Students learned about the practice of controlling and managing a wide range of hazards associated with the life cycle of mining-related activities. They were also educated about the implementation of recognized hazard controls and/or reduction of risks associated with mining activities to legally, socially and morally acceptable levels. The participants learned not only about reducing health and safety risks to mine workers, but also about the reduction of risks to plant (machinery) together with the structure and ore body of the mine.

The event “Awareness Program on Road Safety and Anti-Ragging Measures” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 12/02/2021 from 10 am to 12 am for students of all branches I B. Tech. the program was attended by Sri. Ramalinga Raju, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pate Basheerabad, Hyderabad and his team. Pate Basheerabad Assistant Commissioner of Police Shri Ramalinga Raju said that students should grow as responsible and proud citizens of the country. He advised the students to use their energies and talent to acquire knowledge about road safety and impart the same to others so that many precious lives, which are lost due to various road accidents, could be saved. He also appealed to the students that students over the age of 18 and who possess valid driver's license should only drive on the roads after acquiring knowledge of road safety. Wearing a helmet, driving under prescribed speed limit, and hazards of drunken driving are the other matters related to road safety that were stressed in the program. Later, Pate Basheerabad Police Station SI Shri Ramesh in his speech explained the need for helmet and displayed videos of accidents on various occasions on the roads of twin cities. Dr. A. A Workshop on Scope and Career Choices of Engineering Branches was held in the Major Auditorium on 19th November 2016 from 1 pm to 4 pm for the students of I year all branches. Mr. Sesha Sai, Managing Director of Best Engineering Technologies, Hyderabad conducted the workshop. The program provided details on the scope and career choices of engineering branches. It focused on engineering capabilities and technologies that bring about qualitative changes in varied spheres of human life. Through the program, students came to know what each branch of engineering deals with, hard and soft skills related to each branch, the types of available and upcoming job openings for each branch and the leading recruiters for all the branches. The program stressed on the need for engineering education to contribute significantly by directing its efforts toward reductions in the use of fossil fuels, sustainable transport and agricultural practices, harnessing solar energy, securing cyber space, and provision of new-age medical devices and therapy systems.

One-Day Awareness Program on Women in Engineering

A One-Day Awareness Program on Women in Engineering was organized on 11th January 2017 from 10 am to 3 pm in the ECE Classroom for the faculty and students of ECE. Ms. B. Vijaya Lakshmi, Associate Professor at VELS was the key speaker. She contended that attracting more women into engineering sector could be vital for economic growth and financial stability of nation. She added that despite the great strides made toward gender equality over the last century, there were still a number of arenas where women are under-represented in the workforce. She expresses the need for women participation in the engineering industry. The event was organized to enable participants to know about prospects and challenges for women in the field of engineering. The speaker stressed on the need to make efforts to increase the number of females working in STEM fields.

Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair

The Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair was held on the campus on 18th September 2017. The event was organized in collaboration with ABACUS Overseas Education Advisors Private Limited (ABACUS Group, the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair. Senior students from various branches interacted with the delegates. The fair gave our students an opportunity to look at the various options available to students aspiring for higher studies in USA, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Students had an opportunity to assess their needs and aspirations. The interaction with delegates from the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair enabled the participants to know about USA, and Canada education system and admission requirements. They also learned about scholarships and financial aid, F1 visa guidance, Dos and Don’ts to apply for USA Universities, ETS exam preparations and requirements of Canada SPP procedures.

A Workshop on Entrepreneurship in Emerging Technologies was held in the Major Auditorium on 31st October 2017 from 2 pm to 4 pm for the students of ME and CE IV year. Mr. Ratan Rithwik, mentor with PAN INDIA STARTUP HUB, an initiative of iB hubs, iB Group explained that entrepreneurship is about execution of ideas. He impressed upon the participants to take actions to hone entrepreneurial abilities to transform the world. He advised the students to design and run startups to find solutions to pressing problems. He asserted that emerging technologies present both unique challenges and tremendous opportunities for those individuals who focus their search for competitive advantage on them. The program made students aware of emerging technologies that will drive entrepreneurship such as internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and Neuroscience.

A Workshop on Personal Behaviors and Personality Traits was held in the Major Auditorium on 31st October 2017 from 10 AM to 1 PM for the students of I year all branches. Mr. Naga Prasad, Director of Yuvaraj Motivators PVT LTD conducted the workshop and shared useful nuggets of wisdom concerning personality improvement. The program provided students with detailed information on personal behaviors such as appearance, clothing styles, dressing styles, hairstyles, and mannerisms and personality traits such as confidence, optimism, trust, integrity, and reliability. Tips on small talk and interpersonal relations were also given. The program also stressed on other useful aspects such as creating the best first impression, remaining sober and calm, avoiding showing off branded gadgets and clothes, wearing appropriate shoes, being sociable and friendly, avoiding fiddling with hair, nails, and having good manners and mannerisms.

A Seminar on Career Guidance was organized in the Conference Hall of the ECE block on 11th January 2018 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of II-year ECE & CSE II. Mr. Kranthi Kumar, Director, GATE Hyderabad Office of the Time Institute conducted the program in a refreshing manner. The program made students aware of career options for various engineering streams and the strategies required to enhance the knowledge of aptitude, reasoning and logic, communication and coding skills. The program trained students to develop requisite knowledge on the topics such as interview skills, resume preparation, and group discussions. The speaker focused on students' educational and work backgrounds in order to help them determine what they need to do next to achieve their goals. He also advised students about what courses and educational programs they need for particular careers. He also spoke about how to locate sources of financial support to pay for college and other training programs.

A Workshop on Top Soft Skills for Engineering Students was organized on 21/12/2018 from 10 am to 3 pm in the Major Auditorium for the students of III year all branches. Mr. Naga Prasad, Director of Yuvaraj Motivators PVT LTD conducted the workshop to provide hands on experience on picking up the knowledge of soft skills. The speaker contended that soft skills are important as or more important than technical skills in today’s changing work environment. The program provided essential knowledge in key areas of soft skills such as the ability to work under pressure, problem-solving skills, creativity, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and team working skills. Through the program, the participants have learned that soft skills enable them better relationships with others, perform well in various situations- academic and job and yield optimal productivity. The facilitator made the session highly interactive and pleasurable with his jovial and charming personality and relevant examples from academic field and the work environment. He explained the concepts with some video clippings. This session was an eye opener for one and all present for the session. Students enjoyed this session thoroughly.

Personality Development Skill Program

A Personality Development Skill Program was conducted for the students of I ECE and CSE on 28/08/2018 from 10 am to 1 pm in the Mini Auditorium. The speaker Ms. Indira Priya Kasbha, freelance motivational speaker & business consultant, Hyderabad educated the participants about developing their self-image. The speaker asserted that Personality Development is an enduring process of fostering, shaping and enhancing individuals’ skills, knowledge and interests to ascertain their maximum efficacy. The participants picked up useful tips for building their self-confidence, enhancing their self-esteem and improving their overall personality. The program also sensitized the students about proper social and professional behavior to be adopted in the educational institutions and workplaces. The event enabled the participants to become aware of social and business etiquette, and good manners. The students were happy that the program helped them understand the skills and strategies they need to hone their personal and professional image.

A Workshop on Recent Developments in Mine Safety Legislation was organized for I and II-year students of Mining Engineering on 29th December 2018 from 1:30 pm to 3: 30 pm in the Conference Hall, Mining Block. Dr. Shyam Mishra, Director of Mine Safety, Chennai conducted the workshop to enlighten the students on reducing risks associated with mining works, The program was organized to enhance students’ knowledge pertaining to mine safety. Safety has long been a concern in the mining business, especially in underground mining. Students learned about the practice of controlling and managing a wide range of hazards associated with the life cycle of mining-related activities. They were also educated about the implementation of recognized hazard controls and/or reduction of risks associated with mining activities to legally, socially and morally acceptable levels. The participants learned not only about reducing health and safety risks to mine workers, but also about the reduction of risks to plant (machinery) together with the structure and ore body of the mine.

Seminar on Employability Skills and New Age Skills

A seminar on Employability Skills and New Age Skills was organized in the Major Auditorium on 16th February 2019 from 10: 30 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of CSE and ECE III year. The program was conducted to promote students’ awareness on developing employability skills in tune with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Students understood that technological advances could impact the existing job market. Automation could lead to disappearance of some jobs and creation of new jobs. The students have been asked to gear themselves up to changing job market situation and develop requisite skills in new age areas to become industry ready.

Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

The Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning was conducted on 21st December 2019 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm in the Major Auditorium of the college for the students of CSE II year. The speaker, Mr. B. Srinivas, a freelance AI trainer based in Hyderabad, explained the concepts of AI and ML. The students learned about the capabilities and the roles of machines. They learned that MI is an application of AI that provides the system the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience. They understood how to generate a program by integrating input and output of that program. The session was very practical and it contained real life situations to enable students to grasp the concepts.

“Corporate Challenges and Opportunities”

The Guest lecture “Corporate Challenges and Opportunities” was conducted on 6th March, 2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the Seminar Hall of MBA Block for the students of MBA I & II year. Mr.Rayapu Boyapati, HR Manager, IBM, Hyderabad was the chief guest for the occasion. The program enabled the students to understand the challenges and opportunities that directly impact the end goals of business which include funding opportunities, business accreditation, globalization efforts, entrepreneurship programs, energy and sustainability initiatives, executive education offerings. The lecture was very informative and contained a lot of day to day examples and familiar case studies.

“Global Higher Education Opportunities”

The seminar “Global Higher Education Opportunities” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 5th March 2020 from 2 PM to 4 PM for III B.Tech. CSE and ECE students. The speaker, Mr. U. V. Raghava Reddy, Working Partner of Conduira interacted with students and enhanced students’ awareness about higher education opportunities across the nations. The program was of immense help to those students who wished to study abroad. The interaction with the guest has enabled the students to know about application fee waiver, scholarship support and relaxation of GRE & TOEFL scores to get admission into universities abroad. They also came to know differences in compensation between engineering jobs straight after graduating in India and after pursuing higher education abroad. The speaker gave details about the universities in the US such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, Harvard University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of California, Berkeley (UCB), Princeton University and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

“Awareness Program on Road Safety and Anti-Ragging Measures”

The event “Awareness Program on Road Safety and Anti-Ragging Measures” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 12/02/2021 from 10 am to 12 am for students of all branches I B. Tech. the program was attended by Sri. Ramalinga Raju, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pate Basheerabad, Hyderabad and his team. Pate Basheerabad Assistant Commissioner of Police Shri Ramalinga Raju said that students should grow as responsible and proud citizens of the country. He advised the students to use their energies and talent to acquire knowledge about road safety and impart the same to others so that many precious lives, which are lost due to various road accidents, could be saved. He also appealed to the students that students over the age of 18 and who possess valid driver's license should only drive on the roads after acquiring knowledge of road safety. Wearing a helmet, driving under prescribed speed limit, and hazards of drunken driving are the other matters related to road safety that were stressed in the program. Later, Pate Basheerabad Police Station SI Shri Ramesh in his speech explained the need for helmet and displayed videos of accidents on various occasions on the roads of twin cities. Dr. A. Ramaswami Reddy, Director of the College and Mr. Praveen Reddy, Director of Malla Reddy Group of Educational Institutions spoke about anti-ragging measures in place on the campus. The police department, the college management and the staff assured the freshers that student safety is given top priority on and off the campus. The event was also attended by Dean, H & S, Dr T.V. Surendranatha Reddy, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr P. Sreehari and some faculty of the college.

“Experiences and Opportunities for Mining Engineers in Industry, Academia and Research”

The seminar “Experiences and Opportunities for Mining Engineers in Industry, Academia and Research” was organized on 08/02/2021 from 10 am to 4 pm in the Conference Hall of Mining Block for students of II, III & IV year Mining Department. The program enlightened students on the availability of career opportunities for mining engineering students. Students came to know how to equip themselves with regard to technical and soft skills competencies so that they become relevant in the changing jobscape. They understood that different areas of mining industry open up multiple job offers at various levels in India and abroad. The event was very practical and all the speakers gave useful tips for students on mining engineering concepts, needs and demands of the industry and job market scenario. This seminar is a useful platform for the students to assimilate the various opportunities available to them. Experts from various fields of mining and allied engineering shared their personal experiences and educated the students on expectations of recruiting companies during campus recruitment drives. The program provided the students benefits such as awareness about various avenues of employment for Mining Engineers, tips for preparing for competitive examinations (including GATE) and interviews and the information about subjects on which to concentrate based on the company and its nature of operations.

The seminar “Blueprint for Academic and Placement Success” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 4th February 2021from 2 PM to 4 PM for I B.Tech. students of all branches. Ms. Hemalatha of Arena Technologies, Hyderabad was the speaker of the program. The seminar was organized to enhance students’ awareness about using infra structural facilities together with curricular, cocurricular and extracurricular activities. The program gave students detailed analysis about utilizing activities/events scheduled on the academic calendar. The interaction with the guest has enabled the students to realize the importance of developing technical skills, communication skills and soft skills. They also came to know the present day job market demands and trends and opportunities for pursuing higher education abroad. Among other things, the event enabled the students to learn about: a) utilizing infrastructural facilities of the college and b) opportunities for graphics and multimedia specialists.

The seminar titled “Achieving Success by Overcoming Stress and Distractions” was held in the Major Auditorium of the college on 22/03/2021 from 1:40 pm to 4: 10 pm for II and III B. Tech students. The program started with the host Aashritha of III ECE inviting the speaker, Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, Director, Prof. A. Ramaswamy Reddy, Dean of Industry Institute Interaction Cell, Prof. S. Venkata Ramaiah and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. P. Sreehari. Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, the speaker for the event is a renowned motivational speaker, psychologist and soft skills trainer. The speaker shared several nuggets of wisdom which would enable students to achieve academic and professional success by overcoming factors such as negativity, hesitation, distractions, stress and anxiety. The speaker urged the students to develop sane habits such as proper sleep, waking up early, respecting elders, parents and teachers. He gave them tips which are useful for achieving focus and overcoming distractions related to gadgets. He also told them to be sincere and dedicated in their studies, making the positive use of technology, time and teachers. The Director also spoke on the occasion and advised the students to follow the techniques provided by the speaker to steer clear of the distractions and the stress. He also felicitated the guest with a shawl and memento and expressed appreciation for conducting the seminar in an interactive and entertaining way. A few students spoke right after the speaker finished his seminar and gave their instant feedback. They expressed their happiness for conducting such a useful program. The program ended with the Dean, Student Affairs thanking the guest for a memorable presentation. He also thanked the Director and also the Dean of Industry Institute Interaction Cell. He also conveyed his thanks to other faculty members who took active part in making the seminar a success.

15th Graduation, Placement and Alumni Day

The Event 15th Graduation, Placement & Alumni Day of the college was held on 6th March 2021. The event was organized successfully as the various committees that were constituted for the purpose worked collaboratively and cooperatively. The Director and the Central Coordinators interacted with the coordinators and members of various committees regularly. Guests and Speakers of the Day The Director of the college, Prof. A. Ramaswami Reddy gave the welcome address. He welcomed all the dignitaries and guests and spoke about the achievements of the college in various spheres. He congratulated the graduating students, placed students and alumni for their achievements and contribution and urged them to make the best use of technology for their professional enrichment. He also administered the Graduation Pledge to the fresh graduates. The Chief Guest and the Founder Chairman, Sri. Ch. Malla Reddy spoke about the transformation of his life from a milk vendor to an eminent educationist and a political leader. He remarked that hard work is the only secret for whatsoever success he claimed all through his life. Guest of Honour Sri. G. Ram Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director of ARK Infrastructure PVT LTD. Through his vision and passion for civil engineering and construction, Mr. Ram Reddy led the ARK Group with 31 years of success. With his strong experience in engineering and management, he established a reputed organization and team of professionals that executed a wide range of projects from residential buildings to commercial establishments, educational institutions, and industrial units, among others. Ark Group, under Mr. Ram Reddy’s leadership gained high quality recognition with CRISIL’s 5 star rating and awards from Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri YS Rajshekar Reddy, Hon’ble CM, Sri Rosaiah, Hon’ble CM, Sri Kiran Kumar Reddy and Hon’ble Governor Sri Rangarajan. Another Guest of Honour, Prof. E. Sai Baba Reddy who worked as the Vice Principal of JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad gave his valuable speech and enlightened the students about need for upgrading their skills and knowledge and development of innovative abilities for entrepreneurial and career success. Celebrating the Graduation Most graduates of all the departments attended the program. They were very enthusiastic and looked colorful in their graduation robes. The toppers were awarded medals and other graduates were given Certificates of Academic Excellence. Appreciating Job Placements Students who got placed came to the event along with their parents. Both the student and the parents were felicitated with a shawl and a memento. Students also received Certificates of Appreciation. Bonding with the Alumni Many of our alumni participated in the event very enthusiastically. Around 70 alumni registered for the programme. More than 40 attended the program. Alumni were felicitated with a shawl and a memento. Some of them spoke about their success stories – how they designed and initiated their own start-ups and excelled in their career. They also participated in the cake cutting program and had a good time. Vote of Thanks The H&S Dean and one of the Central Coordinators, Prof. T. V. Surendranatha Reddy proposed the vote of thanks. He thanked the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour, Director, Parents and students for their valuable contribution to the success of the 15th Graduation, Placement & Alumni Day.

The college organized an Interaction with delegates from the US universities in the Major Auditorium on 7th September 2015. The senior students from various branches interacted with the delegates. The program was organized to assist those students who wish to study abroad. The interaction with delegates from US universities has enabled the students to know about application fee waiver, scholarship support and relaxation of GRE & TOEFL scores to get admission into US universities.

Guest Lecture on Robotics and Factory Automation

A Guest Lecture on Robotics and Factory Automation was held on 08th November 2016 from 10 am to 1 pm in the IBM Lab, Main Block for the ECE III year students. Mr. Vishnu Chittam, Project Executive at Involute Automation Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad was the facilitator of the event. The event was organized to familiarize students with Factory robotic automation. The participants learned that factory robotic automation is the process of integrating industrial machinery for tasks such as welding, material handling and assembly. The participants realized that automated robotic systems to a factory has many advantages such as saving money, increase in production, and creation of higher-quality parts. They have also understood that integrating automated robots into a workplace generally requires a high initial investment, but the ROI time is minimal. To combat this issue, many companies are turning to reconditioned used robots. This allows the company to purchase a larger quantity of robots. A reconditioned automated robot offers the automation benefits such improved labor productivity, reduction in cycle time and floor space utilization, quality and reliability improvement, consistency in processing, reduction of waste and lower production costs.

A seminar on 3D printing was conducted in the Conference Hall of Mechanical Engineering on 2nd July 2016 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the students of ME II year. Dr. Y. Ravi Kumar, Associate Professor at NIT, Warangal educated the students on the opportunities of 3D printing. He opined that 3D printing is a rapidly growing technology, and the engineering students who have an eye for precision, and detail will stand to gain in this field. The event was planned to guide students to be familiar with 3D CAD (computer-aided design) in order to plan and design projects, and to stay abreast of the latest technical breakthroughs and market demands for 3D printing, whether it’s custom prosthetics or high-tech fashions.

A Personality Development Skill Program was conducted for the students of I ECE and CSE on 28/08/2018 from 10 am to 1 pm in the Mini Auditorium. The speaker Ms. Indira Priya Kasbha, freelance motivational speaker & business consultant, Hyderabad educated the participants about developing their self-image. The speaker asserted that Personality Development is an enduring process of fostering, shaping and enhancing individuals’ skills, knowledge and interests to ascertain their maximum efficacy. The participants picked up useful tips for building their self-confidence, enhancing their self-esteem and improving their overall personality. The program also sensitized the students about proper social and professional behavior to be adopted in the educational institutions and workplaces. The event enabled the participants to become aware of social and business etiquette, and good manners. A Workshop on Recent Developments in Mine Safety Legislation was organized for I and II-year students of Mining Engineering on 29th December 2018 from 1:30 pm to 3: 30 pm in the Conference Hall, Mining Block. Dr. Shyam Mishra, Director of Mine Safety, Chennai conducted the workshop to enlighten the students on reducing risks associated with mining works, The program was organized to enhance students’ knowledge pertaining to mine safety. Safety has long been a concern in the mining business, especially in underground mining. Students learned about the practice of controlling and managing a wide range of hazards associated with the life cycle of mining-related activities. They were also educated about the implementation of recognized hazard controls and/or reduction of risks associated with mining activities to legally, socially and morally acceptable levels. The participants learned not only about reducing health and safety risks to mine workers, but also about the reduction of risks to plant (machinery) together with the structure and ore body of the mine.

A seminar on Employability Skills and New Age Skills was organized in the Major Auditorium on 16th February 2019 from 10: 30 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of CSE and ECE III year. The program was conducted to promote students’ awareness on developing employability skills in tune with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Students understood that technological advances could impact the existing job market. Automation could lead to disappearance of some jobs and creation of new jobs. The students have been asked to gear themselves up to changing job market situation and develop requisite skills in new age areas to become industry ready.

The Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning was conducted on 21st December 2019 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm in the Major Auditorium of the college for the students of CSE II year. The speaker, Mr. B. Srinivas, a freelance AI trainer based in Hyderabad, explained the concepts of AI and ML. The students learned about the capabilities and the roles of machines. They learned that MI is an application of AI that provides the system the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience. They understood how to generate a program by integrating input and output of that program. The session was very practical and it contained real life situations to enable students to grasp the concepts.

The Guest lecture “Corporate Challenges and Opportunities” was conducted on 6th March, 2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the Seminar Hall of MBA Block for the students of MBA I & II year. The event “Awareness Program on Road Safety and Anti-Ragging Measures” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 12/02/2021 from 10 am to 12 am for students of all branches I B. Tech. the program was attended by Sri. Ramalinga Raju, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pate Basheerabad, Hyderabad and his team. Pate Basheerabad Assistant Commissioner of Police Shri Ramalinga Raju said that students should grow as responsible and proud citizens of the country. He advised the students to use their energies and talent to acquire knowledge about road safety and impart the same to others so that many precious lives, which are lost due to various road accidents, could be saved. He also appealed to the students that students over the age of 18 and who possess valid driver's license should only drive on the roads after acquiring knowledge of road safety. Wearing a helmet, driving under prescribed speed limit, and hazards of drunken driving are the other matters related to road safety that were stressed in the program. Later, Pate Basheerabad Police Station SI Shri Ramesh in his speech explained the need for helmet and displayed videos of accidents on various occasions on the roads of twin cities. Dr. A. Ramaswami Reddy, Director of the College and Mr. Praveen Reddy, Director of Malla Reddy Group of Educational Institutions spoke about anti-ragging measures in place on the campus. The police department, the college management and the staff assured the freshers that student safety is given top priority on and off the campus. The event was also attended by Dean, H & S, Dr T.V. The program enlightened students on the availability of career opportunities for mining engineering students. Students came to know how to equip themselves with regard to technical and soft skills competencies so that they become relevant in the changing jobscape. They understood that different areas of mining industry open up multiple job offers at various levels in India and abroad. The event was very practical and all the speakers gave useful tips for students on mining engineering concepts, needs and demands of the industry and job market scenario. This seminar is a useful platform for the students to assimilate the various opportunities available to them. The seminar was organized to enhance students’ awareness about using infra structural facilities together with curricular, cocurricular and extracurricular activities. The program gave students detailed analysis about utilizing activities/events scheduled on the academic calendar. The interaction with the guest has enabled the students to realize the importance of developing technical skills, communication skills and soft skills. They also came to know the present day job market demands and trends and opportunities for pursuing higher education abroad. Among other things, the event enabled the students to learn about: a) utilizing infrastructural facilities of the college and b) opportunities for graphics and multimedia specialists.

The seminar titled “Achieving Success by Overcoming Stress and Distractions” was held in the Major Auditorium of the college on 22/03/2021 from 1:40 pm to 4: 10 pm for II and III B. Tech students. The program started with the host Aashritha of III ECE inviting the speaker, Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, Director, Prof. A. Ramaswamy Reddy, Dean of Industry Institute Interaction Cell, Prof. S. Venkata Ramaiah and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. P. Sreehari. Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, the speaker for the event is a renowned motivational speaker, psychologist and soft skills trainer. The speaker shared several nuggets of wisdom which would enable students to achieve academic and professional success by overcoming factors such as negativity, hesitation, distractions, stress and anxiety. The speaker urged the students to develop sane habits such as proper sleep, waking up early, respecting elders, parents and teachers. He gave them tips which are useful for achieving focus and overcoming distractions related to gadgets. He also told them to be sincere and dedicated in their studies, making the positive use of technology, time and teachers. The Director also spoke on the occasion and advised the students to follow the techniques provided by the speaker to steer clear of the distractions and the stress. He also felicitated the guest with a shawl and memento and expressed appreciation for conducting the seminar in an interactive and entertaining way. A few students spoke right after the speaker finished his seminar and gave their instant feedback. They expressed their happiness for conducting such a useful program. The program ended with the Dean, Student Affairs thanking the guest for a memorable presentation. He also thanked the Director and also the Dean of Industry Institute Interaction Cell. He also conveyed his thanks to other faculty members who took active part in making the seminar a success.

15th Graduation, Placement and Alumni Day

The Event 15th Graduation, Placement & Alumni Day of the college was held on 6th March 2021. The event was organized successfully as the various committees that were constituted for the purpose worked collaboratively and cooperatively. The Director and the Central Coordinators interacted with the coordinators and members of various committees regularly. Guests and Speakers of the Day The Director of the college, Prof. A. Ramaswami Reddy gave the welcome address. He welcomed all the dignitaries and guests and spoke about the achievements of the college in various spheres. He congratulated the graduating students, placed students and alumni for their achievements and contribution and urged them to make the best use of technology for their professional enrichment. He also administered the Graduation Pledge to the fresh graduates. The Chief Guest and the Founder Chairman, Sri. Ch. Malla Reddy spoke about the transformation of his life from a milk vendor to an eminent educationist and a political leader. He remarked that hard work is the only secret for whatsoever success he claimed all through his life. Guest of Honour Sri. G. Ram Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director of ARK Infrastructure PVT LTD. Through his vision and passion for civil engineering and construction, Mr. Ram Reddy led the ARK Group with 31 years of success. With his strong experience in engineering and management, he established a reputed organization and team of professionals that executed a wide range of projects from residential buildings to commercial establishments, educational institutions, and industrial units, among others. Ark Group, under Mr. Ram Reddy’s leadership gained high quality recognition with CRISIL’s 5 star rating and awards from Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri YS Rajshekar Reddy, Hon’ble CM, Sri Rosaiah, Hon’ble CM, Sri Kiran Kumar Reddy and Hon’ble Governor Sri Rangarajan. Another Guest of Honour, Prof. E. Sai Baba Reddy who worked as the Vice Principal of JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad gave his valuable speech and enlightened the students about need for upgrading their skills and knowledge and development of innovative abilities for entrepreneurial and career success. Celebrating the Graduation Most graduates of all the departments attended the program. They were very enthusiastic and looked colorful in their graduation robes. The toppers were awarded medals and other graduates were given Certificates of Academic Excellence. Appreciating Job Placements Students who got placed came to the event along with their parents. Both the student and the parents were felicitated with a shawl and a memento. Students also received Certificates of Appreciation. Bonding with the Alumni Many of our alumni participated in the event very enthusiastically. Around 70 alumni registered for the programme. More than 40 attended the program. Alumni were felicitated with a shawl and a memento. Some of them spoke about their success stories – how they designed and initiated their own start-ups and excelled in their career. They also participated in the cake cutting program and had a good time. Vote of Thanks The H&S Dean and one of the Central Coordinators, Prof. T. V. Surendranatha Reddy proposed the vote of thanks. A Guest Lecture on Robotics and Factory Automation was held on 08th November 2016 from 10 am to 1 pm in the IBM Lab, Main Block for the ECE III year students. Mr. Vishnu Chittam, Project Executive at Involute Automation Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad was the facilitator of the event. The event was organized to familiarize students with Factory robotic automation. The participants learned that factory robotic automation is the process of integrating industrial machinery for tasks such as welding, material handling and assembly. The participants realized that automated robotic systems to a factory has many advantages such as saving money, increase in production, and creation of higher-quality parts. They have also understood that integrating automated robots into a workplace generally requires a high initial investment, but the ROI time is minimal. To combat this issue, many companies are turning to reconditioned used robots. This allows the company to purchase a larger quantity of robots. A reconditioned automated robot offers the automation benefits such improved labor productivity, reduction in cycle time and floor space utilization, quality and reliability improvement, consistency in processing, reduction of waste and lower production costs.

A seminar on 3D printing was conducted in the Conference Hall of Mechanical Engineering on 2nd July 2016 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the students of ME II year. Dr. Y. Ravi Kumar, Associate Professor at NIT, Warangal educated the students on the opportunities of 3D printing. He opined that 3D printing is a rapidly growing technology, and the engineering students who have an eye for precision, and detail will stand to gain in this field. The event was planned to guide students to be familiar with 3D CAD (computer-aided design) in order to plan and design projects, and to stay abreast of the latest technical breakthroughs and market demands for 3D printing, whether it’s custom prosthetics or high-tech fashions.

Mr. Sesha Sai, Managing Director of Best Engineering Technologies, Hyderabad conducted the workshop. The program provided details on the scope and career choices of engineering branches. It focused on engineering capabilities and technologies that bring about qualitative changes in varied spheres of human life. Through the program, students came to know what each branch of engineering deals with, hard and soft skills related to each branch, the types of available and upcoming job openings for each branch and the leading recruiters for all the branches. The program stressed on the need for engineering education to contribute significantly by directing its efforts toward reductions in the use of fossil fuels, sustainable transport and agricultural practices, harnessing solar energy, securing cyber space, and provision of new-age medical devices and therapy systems.

A One-Day Awareness Program on Women in Engineering was organized on 11th January 2017 from 10 am to 3 pm in the ECE Classroom for the faculty and students of ECE. Ms. B. Vijaya Lakshmi, Associate Professor at VELS was the key speaker. She contended that attracting more women into engineering sector could be vital for economic growth and financial stability of nation. She added that despite the great strides made toward gender equality over the last century, there were still a number of arenas where women are under-represented in the workforce. She expresses the need for women participation in the engineering industry. The event was organized to enable participants to know about prospects and challenges for women in the field of engineering. The speaker stressed on the need to make efforts to increase the number of females working in STEM fields.

Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair

The Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair was held on the campus on 18th September 2017. The event was organized in collaboration with ABACUS Overseas Education Advisors Private Limited (ABACUS Group, the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair. Senior students from various branches interacted with the delegates. The fair gave our students an opportunity to look at the various options available to students aspiring for higher studies in USA, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Students had an opportunity to assess their needs and aspirations. The interaction with delegates from the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair enabled the participants to know about USA, and Canada education system and admission requirements. They also learned about scholarships and financial aid, F1 visa guidance, Dos and Don’ts to apply for USA Universities, ETS exam preparations and requirements of Canada SPP procedures.

A Workshop on Entrepreneurship in Emerging Technologies was held in the Major Auditorium on 31st October 2017 from 2 pm to 4 pm for the students of ME and CE IV year. Mr. Ratan Rithwik, mentor with PAN INDIA STARTUP HUB, an initiative of iB hubs, iB Group explained that entrepreneurship is about execution of ideas. He impressed upon the participants to take actions to hone entrepreneurial abilities to transform the world. He advised the students to design and run startups to find solutions to pressing problems. He asserted that emerging technologies present both unique challenges and tremendous opportunities for those individuals who focus their search for competitive advantage on them. The program made students aware of emerging technologies that will drive entrepreneurship such as internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and Neuroscience.

The program provided students with detailed information on personal behaviors such as appearance, clothing styles, dressing styles, hairstyles, and mannerisms and personality traits such as confidence, optimism, trust, integrity, and reliability. Tips on small talk and interpersonal relations were also given. The program also stressed on other useful aspects such as creating the best first impression, remaining sober and calm, avoiding showing off branded gadgets and clothes, wearing appropriate shoes, being sociable and friendly, avoiding fiddling with hair, nails, and having good manners and mannerisms.

A Seminar on Career Guidance was organized in the Conference Hall of the ECE block on 11th January 2018 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of II-year ECE & CSE II. Mr. Kranthi Kumar, Director, GATE Hyderabad Office of the Time Institute conducted the program in a refreshing manner. The program made students aware of career options for various engineering streams and the strategies required to enhance the knowledge of aptitude, reasoning and logic, communication and coding skills. The program trained students to develop requisite knowledge on the topics such as interview skills, resume preparation, and group discussions. The speaker focused on students' educational and work backgrounds in order to help them determine what they need to do next to achieve their goals. He also advised students about what courses and educational programs they need for particular careers. The program enlightened students on the availability of career opportunities for mining engineering students. Students came to know how to equip themselves with regard to technical and soft skills competencies so that they become relevant in the changing jobscape. They understood that different areas of mining industry open up multiple job offers at various levels in India and abroad. The event was very practical and all the speakers gave useful tips for students on mining engineering concepts, needs and demands of the industry and job market scenario. The seminar “Blueprint for Academic and Placement Success” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 4th February 2021from 2 PM to 4 PM for I B.Tech. students of all branches. Ms. Hemalatha of Arena Technologies, Hyderabad was the speaker of the program. The seminar was organized to enhance students’ awareness about using infra structural facilities together with curricular, cocurricular and extracurricular activities. The program gave students detailed analysis about utilizing activities/events scheduled on the academic calendar. The seminar titled “Achieving Success by Overcoming Stress and Distractions” was held in the Major Auditorium of the college on 22/03/2021 from 1:40 pm to 4: 10 pm for II and III B. Tech students. The program started with the host Aashritha of III ECE inviting the speaker, Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, Director, Prof. A. Ramaswamy Reddy, Dean of Industry Institute Interaction Cell, Prof. S. Venkata Ramaiah and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. P. Sreehari. Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, the speaker for the event is a renowned motivational speaker, psychologist and soft skills trainer. The speaker shared several nuggets of wisdom which would enable students to achieve academic and professional success by overcoming factors such as negativity, hesitation, distractions, stress and anxiety. The speaker urged the students to develop sane habits such as proper sleep, waking up early, respecting elders, parents and teachers. The Event 15th Graduation, Placement & Alumni Day of the college was held on 6th March 2021. The event was organized successfully as the various committees that were constituted for the purpose worked collaboratively and cooperatively. Interaction with Delegates from US Universities

The college organized an Interaction with delegates from the US universities in the Major Auditorium on 7th September 2015. The senior students from various branches interacted with the delegates. The program was organized to assist those students who wish to study abroad. The interaction with delegates from US universities has enabled the students to know about application fee waiver, scholarship support and relaxation of GRE & TOEFL scores to get admission into US universities.

Guest Lecture on Robotics and Factory Automation

A Guest Lecture on Robotics and Factory Automation was held on 08th November 2016 from 10 am to 1 pm in the IBM Lab, Main Block for the ECE III year students. Mr. Vishnu Chittam, Project Executive at Involute Automation Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad was the facilitator of the event. The event was organized to familiarize students with Factory robotic automation. The participants learned that factory robotic automation is the process of integrating industrial machinery for tasks such as welding, material handling and assembly. The participants realized that automated robotic systems to a factory has many advantages such as saving money, increase in production, and creation of higher-quality parts. They have also understood that integrating automated robots into a workplace generally requires a high initial investment, but the ROI time is minimal. To combat this issue, many companies are turning to reconditioned used robots. This allows the company to purchase a larger quantity of robots. A reconditioned automated robot offers the automation benefits such improved labor productivity, reduction in cycle time and floor space utilization, quality and reliability improvement, consistency in processing, reduction of waste and lower production costs.

A seminar on 3D printing was conducted in the Conference Hall of Mechanical Engineering on 2nd July 2016 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the students of ME II year. Dr. Y. Ravi Kumar, Associate Professor at NIT, Warangal educated the students on the opportunities of 3D printing. He opined that 3D printing is a rapidly growing technology, and the engineering students who have an eye for precision, and detail will stand to gain in this field. The event was planned to guide students to be familiar with 3D CAD (computer-aided design) in order to plan and design projects, and to stay abreast of the latest technical breakthroughs and market demands for 3D printing, whether it’s custom prosthetics or high-tech fashions.

A Workshop on Scope and Career Choices of Engineering Branches was held in the Major Auditorium on 19th November 2016 from 1 pm to 4 pm for the students of I year all branches. Mr. Sesha Sai, Managing Director of Best Engineering Technologies, Hyderabad conducted the workshop. The program provided details on the scope and career choices of engineering branches. It focused on engineering capabilities and technologies that bring about qualitative changes in varied spheres of human life. Through the program, students came to know what each branch of engineering deals with, hard and soft skills related to each branch, the types of available and upcoming job openings for each branch and the leading recruiters for all the branches. The program stressed on the need for engineering education to contribute significantly by directing its efforts toward reductions in the use of fossil fuels, sustainable transport and agricultural practices, harnessing solar energy, securing cyber space, and provision of new-age medical devices and therapy systems.

One-Day Awareness Program on Women in Engineering

A One-Day Awareness Program on Women in Engineering was organized on 11th January 2017 from 10 am to 3 pm in the ECE Classroom for the faculty and students of ECE. Ms. B. Vijaya Lakshmi, Associate Professor at VELS was the key speaker. She contended that attracting more women into engineering sector could be vital for economic growth and financial stability of nation. She added that despite the great strides made toward gender equality over the last century, there were still a number of arenas where women are under-represented in the workforce. She expresses the need for women participation in the engineering industry. The event was organized to enable participants to know about prospects and challenges for women in the field of engineering. The speaker stressed on the need to make efforts to increase the number of females working in STEM fields.

Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair

The Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair was held on the campus on 18th September 2017. The event was organized in collaboration with ABACUS Overseas Education Advisors Private Limited (ABACUS Group, the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair. Senior students from various branches interacted with the delegates. The fair gave our students an opportunity to look at the various options available to students aspiring for higher studies in USA, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Students had an opportunity to assess their needs and aspirations. The interaction with delegates from the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair enabled the participants to know about USA, and Canada education system and admission requirements. They also learned about scholarships and financial aid, F1 visa guidance, Dos and Don’ts to apply for USA Universities, ETS exam preparations and requirements of Canada SPP procedures.

A Workshop on Entrepreneurship in Emerging Technologies was held in the Major Auditorium on 31st October 2017 from 2 pm to 4 pm for the students of ME and CE IV year. Mr. Ratan Rithwik, mentor with PAN INDIA STARTUP HUB, an initiative of iB hubs, iB Group explained that entrepreneurship is about execution of ideas. He impressed upon the participants to take actions to hone entrepreneurial abilities to transform the world. He advised the students to design and run startups to find solutions to pressing problems. He asserted that emerging technologies present both unique challenges and tremendous opportunities for those individuals who focus their search for competitive advantage on them. The program made students aware of emerging technologies that will drive entrepreneurship such as internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and Neuroscience.

A Workshop on Personal Behaviors and Personality Traits was held in the Major Auditorium on 31st October 2017 from 10 AM to 1 PM for the students of I year all branches. Mr. Naga Prasad, Director of Yuvaraj Motivators PVT LTD conducted the workshop and shared useful nuggets of wisdom concerning personality improvement. The program provided students with detailed information on personal behaviors such as appearance, clothing styles, dressing styles, hairstyles, and mannerisms and personality traits such as confidence, optimism, trust, integrity, and reliability. Tips on small talk and interpersonal relations were also given. The program also stressed on other useful aspects such as creating the best first impression, remaining sober and calm, avoiding showing off branded gadgets and clothes, wearing appropriate shoes, being sociable and friendly, avoiding fiddling with hair, nails, and having good manners and mannerisms.

A Seminar on Career Guidance was organized in the Conference Hall of the ECE block on 11th January 2018 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of II-year ECE & CSE II. Mr. Kranthi Kumar, Director, GATE Hyderabad Office of the Time Institute conducted the program in a refreshing manner. The program made students aware of career options for various engineering streams and the strategies required to enhance the knowledge of aptitude, reasoning and logic, communication and coding skills. The program trained students to develop requisite knowledge on the topics such as interview skills, resume preparation, and group discussions. The speaker focused on students' educational and work backgrounds in order to help them determine what they need to do next to achieve their goals. He also advised students about what courses and educational programs they need for particular careers. He also spoke about how to locate sources of financial support to pay for college and other training programs.

A Workshop on Top Soft Skills for Engineering Students was organized on 21/12/2018 from 10 am to 3 pm in the Major Auditorium for the students of III year all branches. Mr. Naga Prasad, Director of Yuvaraj Motivators PVT LTD conducted the workshop to provide hands on experience on picking up the knowledge of soft skills. The speaker contended that soft skills are important as or more important than technical skills in today’s changing work environment. The program provided essential knowledge in key areas of soft skills such as the ability to work under pressure, problem-solving skills, creativity, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and team working skills. Through the program, the participants have learned that soft skills enable them better relationships with others, perform well in various situations- academic and job and yield optimal productivity. The facilitator made the session highly interactive and pleasurable with his jovial and charming personality and relevant examples from academic field and the work environment. He explained the concepts with some video clippings. This session was an eye opener for one and all present for the session. Students enjoyed this session thoroughly.

A Personality Development Skill Program was conducted for the students of I ECE and CSE on 28/08/2018 from 10 am to 1 pm in the Mini Auditorium. The speaker Ms. Indira Priya Kasbha, freelance motivational speaker & business consultant, Hyderabad educated the participants about developing their self-image. The speaker asserted that Personality Development is an enduring process of fostering, shaping and enhancing individuals’ skills, knowledge and interests to ascertain their maximum efficacy. The participants picked up useful tips for building their self-confidence, enhancing their self-esteem and improving their overall personality. The program also sensitized the students about proper social and professional behavior to be adopted in the educational institutions and workplaces. The event enabled the participants to become aware of social and business etiquette, and good manners. A Workshop on Recent Developments in Mine Safety Legislation was organized for I and II-year students of Mining Engineering on 29th December 2018 from 1:30 pm to 3: 30 pm in the Conference Hall, Mining Block. Dr. Shyam Mishra, Director of Mine Safety, Chennai conducted the workshop to enlighten the students on reducing risks associated with mining works, The program was organized to enhance students’ knowledge pertaining to mine safety. Safety has long been a concern in the mining business, especially in underground mining. Students learned about the practice of controlling and managing a wide range of hazards associated with the life cycle of mining-related activities. They were also educated about the implementation of recognized hazard controls and/or reduction of risks associated with mining activities to legally, socially and morally acceptable levels. The participants learned not only about reducing health and safety risks to mine workers, but also about the reduction of risks to plant (machinery) together with the structure and ore body of the mine.

A seminar on Employability Skills and New Age Skills was organized in the Major Auditorium on 16th February 2019 from 10: 30 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of CSE and ECE III year. The program was conducted to promote students’ awareness on developing employability skills in tune with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Students understood that technological advances could impact the existing job market. Automation could lead to disappearance of some jobs and creation of new jobs. The students have been asked to gear themselves up to changing job market situation and develop requisite skills in new age areas to become industry ready.

The Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning was conducted on 21st December 2019 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm in the Major Auditorium of the college for the students of CSE II year. The speaker, Mr. B. Srinivas, a freelance AI trainer based in Hyderabad, explained the concepts of AI and ML. The students learned about the capabilities and the roles of machines. They learned that MI is an application of AI that provides the system the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience. They understood how to generate a program by integrating input and output of that program. The Guest lecture “Corporate Challenges and Opportunities” was conducted on 6th March, 2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the Seminar Hall of MBA Block for the students of MBA I & II year. Mr.Rayapu Boyapati, HR Manager, IBM, Hyderabad was the chief guest for the occasion. The program enabled the students to understand the challenges and opportunities that directly impact the end goals of business which include funding opportunities, business accreditation, globalization efforts, entrepreneurship programs, energy and sustainability initiatives, executive education offerings. The seminar “Global Higher Education Opportunities” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 5th March 2020 from 2 PM to 4 PM for III B.Tech. CSE and ECE students. The speaker, Mr. U. The program was of immense help to those students who wished to study abroad. Tech. the program was attended by Sri. Ramalinga Raju, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pate Basheerabad, Hyderabad and his team. Pate Basheerabad Assistant Commissioner of Police Shri Ramalinga Raju said that students should grow as responsible and proud citizens of the country. He advised the students to use their energies and talent to acquire knowledge about road safety and impart the same to others so that many precious lives, which are lost due to various road accidents, could be saved. He also appealed to the students that students over the age of 18 and who possess valid driver's license should only drive on the roads after acquiring knowledge of road safety. Wearing a helmet, driving under prescribed speed limit, and hazards of drunken driving are the other matters related to road safety that were stressed in the program. A Guest Lecture on Robotics and Factory Automation was held on 08th November 2016 from 10 am to 1 pm in the IBM Lab, Main Block for the ECE III year students. Mr. Vishnu Chittam, Project Executive at Involute Automation Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad was the facilitator of the event. The event was organized to familiarize students with Factory robotic automation. The participants learned that factory robotic automation is the process of integrating industrial machinery for tasks such as welding, material handling and assembly. The participants realized that automated robotic systems to a factory has many advantages such as saving money, increase in production, and creation of higher-quality parts. They have also understood that integrating automated robots into a workplace generally requires a high initial investment, but the ROI time is minimal. To combat this issue, many companies are turning to reconditioned used robots. This allows the company to purchase a larger quantity of robots. A seminar on 3D printing was conducted in the Conference Hall of Mechanical Engineering on 2nd July 2016 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the students of ME II year. Dr. Y. He opined that 3D printing is a rapidly growing technology, and the engineering students who have an eye for precision, and detail will stand to gain in this field. The Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair was held on the campus on 18th September 2017. The event was organized in collaboration with ABACUS Overseas Education Advisors Private Limited (ABACUS Group, the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair. Senior students from various branches interacted with the delegates. The fair gave our students an opportunity to look at the various options available to students aspiring for higher studies in USA, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Mr. Ratan Rithwik, mentor with PAN INDIA STARTUP HUB, an initiative of iB hubs, iB Group explained that entrepreneurship is about execution of ideas. He impressed upon the participants to take actions to hone entrepreneurial abilities to transform the world. He advised the students to design and run startups to find solutions to pressing problems. He asserted that emerging technologies present both unique challenges and tremendous opportunities for those individuals who focus their search for competitive advantage on them. A Seminar on Career Guidance was organized in the Conference Hall of the ECE block on 11th January 2018 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of II-year ECE & CSE II. Mr. Kranthi Kumar, Director, GATE Hyderabad Office of the Time Institute conducted the program in a refreshing manner. The program made students aware of career options for various engineering streams and the strategies required to enhance the knowledge of aptitude, reasoning and logic, communication and coding skills. The program trained students to develop requisite knowledge on the topics such as interview skills, resume preparation, and group discussions. The speaker focused on students' educational and work backgrounds in order to help them determine what they need to do next to achieve their goals. He also advised students about what courses and educational programs they need for particular careers. He also spoke about how to locate sources of financial support to pay for college and other training programs.

Soft Skills for Engineering Students

A Workshop on Top Soft Skills for Engineering Students was organized on 21/12/2018 from 10 am to 3 pm in the Major Auditorium for the students of III year all branches. Mr. Naga Prasad, Director of Yuvaraj Motivators PVT LTD conducted the workshop to provide hands on experience on picking up the knowledge of soft skills. The speaker contended that soft skills are important as or more important than technical skills in today’s changing work environment. The program provided essential knowledge in key areas of soft skills such as the ability to work under pressure, problem-solving skills, creativity, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and team working skills. Through the program, the participants have learned that soft skills enable them better relationships with others, perform well in various situations- academic and job and yield optimal productivity. The facilitator made the session highly interactive and pleasurable with his jovial and charming personality and relevant examples from academic field and the work environment. He explained the concepts with some video clippings. This session was an eye opener for one and all present for the session. Students enjoyed this session thoroughly.

Personality Development Skill Program

A Personality Development Skill Program was conducted for the students of I ECE and CSE on 28/08/2018 from 10 am to 1 pm in the Mini Auditorium. The speaker Ms. Indira Priya Kasbha, freelance motivational speaker & business consultant, Hyderabad educated the participants about developing their self-image. The speaker asserted that Personality Development is an enduring process of fostering, shaping and enhancing individuals’ skills, knowledge and interests to ascertain their maximum efficacy. The participants picked up useful tips for building their self-confidence, enhancing their self-esteem and improving their overall personality. The program also sensitized the students about proper social and professional behavior to be adopted in the educational institutions and workplaces. The event enabled the participants to become aware of social and business etiquette, and good manners. The students were happy that the program helped them understand the skills and strategies they need to hone their personal and professional image.

A Workshop on Recent Developments in Mine Safety Legislation was organized for I and II-year students of Mining Engineering on 29th December 2018 from 1:30 pm to 3: 30 pm in the Conference Hall, Mining Block. Dr. Shyam Mishra, Director of Mine Safety, Chennai conducted the workshop to enlighten the students on reducing risks associated with mining works, The program was organized to enhance students’ knowledge pertaining to mine safety. Safety has long been a concern in the mining business, especially in underground mining. Students learned about the practice of controlling and managing a wide range of hazards associated with the life cycle of mining-related activities. They were also educated about the implementation of recognized hazard controls and/or reduction of risks associated with mining activities to legally, socially and morally acceptable levels. The participants learned not only about reducing health and safety risks to mine workers, but also about the reduction of risks to plant (machinery) together with the structure and ore body of the mine.

A seminar on Employability Skills and New Age Skills was organized in the Major Auditorium on 16th February 2019 from 10: 30 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of CSE and ECE III year. The program was conducted to promote students’ awareness on developing employability skills in tune with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Students understood that technological advances could impact the existing job market. Automation could lead to disappearance of some jobs and creation of new jobs. The students have been asked to gear themselves up to changing job market situation and develop requisite skills in new age areas to become industry ready.

The Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning was conducted on 21st December 2019 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm in the Major Auditorium of the college for the students of CSE II year. The speaker, Mr. B. Srinivas, a freelance AI trainer based in Hyderabad, explained the concepts of AI and ML. The students learned about the capabilities and the roles of machines. They learned that MI is an application of AI that provides the system the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience. They understood how to generate a program by integrating input and output of that program. The session was very practical and it contained real life situations to enable students to grasp the concepts.

The Guest lecture “Corporate Challenges and Opportunities” was conducted on 6th March, 2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the Seminar Hall of MBA Block for the students of MBA I & II year. Mr.Rayapu Boyapati, HR Manager, IBM, Hyderabad was the chief guest for the occasion. V. Raghava Reddy, Working Partner of Conduira interacted with students and enhanced students’ awareness about higher education opportunities across the nations. The program was of immense help to those students who wished to study abroad. The event “Awareness Program on Road Safety and Anti-Ragging Measures” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 12/02/2021 from 10 am to 12 am for students of all branches I B. Tech. the program was attended by Sri. Ramalinga Raju, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pate Basheerabad, Hyderabad and his team. Pate Basheerabad Assistant Commissioner of Police Shri Ramalinga Raju said that students should grow as responsible and proud citizens of the country. He advised the students to use their energies and talent to acquire knowledge about road safety and impart the same to others so that many precious lives, which are lost due to various road accidents, could be saved. He also appealed to the students that students over the age of 18 and who possess valid driver's license should only drive on the roads after acquiring knowledge of road safety. Wearing a helmet, driving under prescribed speed limit, and hazards of drunken driving are the other matters related to road safety that were stressed in the program. Later, Pate Basheerabad Police Station SI Shri Ramesh in his speech explained the need for helmet and displayed videos of accidents on various occasions on the roads of twin cities. Dr. A. Ramaswami Reddy, Director of the College and Mr. Praveen Reddy, Director of Malla Reddy Group of Educational Institutions spoke about anti-ragging measures in place on the campus. The police department, the college management and the staff assured the freshers that student safety is given top priority on and off the campus. The event was also attended by Dean, H & S, Dr T.V. The seminar “Experiences and Opportunities for Mining Engineers in Industry, Academia and Research” was organized on 08/02/2021 from 10 am to 4 pm in the Conference Hall of Mining Block for students of II, III & IV year Mining Department. The program enlightened students on the availability of career opportunities for mining engineering students. Students came to know how to equip themselves with regard to technical and soft skills competencies so that they become relevant in the changing jobscape. They understood that different areas of mining industry open up multiple job offers at various levels in India and abroad. The event was very practical and all the speakers gave useful tips for students on mining engineering concepts, needs and demands of the industry and job market scenario. This seminar is a useful platform for the students to assimilate the various opportunities available to them. Experts from various fields of mining and allied engineering shared their personal experiences and educated the students on expectations of recruiting companies during campus recruitment drives. The program provided the students benefits such as awareness about various avenues of employment for Mining Engineers, tips for preparing for competitive examinations (including GATE) and interviews and the information about subjects on which to concentrate based on the company and its nature of operations.

The seminar was organized to enhance students’ awareness about using infra structural facilities together with curricular, cocurricular and extracurricular activities. The program gave students detailed analysis about utilizing activities/events scheduled on the academic calendar. The seminar titled “Achieving Success by Overcoming Stress and Distractions” was held in the Major Auditorium of the college on 22/03/2021 from 1:40 pm to 4: 10 pm for II and III B. Tech students. The program started with the host Aashritha of III ECE inviting the speaker, Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, Director, Prof. A. Ramaswamy Reddy, Dean of Industry Institute Interaction Cell, Prof. S. Venkata Ramaiah and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. P. Sreehari. Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, the speaker for the event is a renowned motivational speaker, psychologist and soft skills trainer. The speaker shared several nuggets of wisdom which would enable students to achieve academic and professional success by overcoming factors such as negativity, hesitation, distractions, stress and anxiety. The speaker urged the students to develop sane habits such as proper sleep, waking up early, respecting elders, parents and teachers. He gave them tips which are useful for achieving focus and overcoming distractions related to gadgets. He also told them to be sincere and dedicated in their studies, making the positive use of technology, time and teachers. The Director also spoke on the occasion and advised the students to follow the techniques provided by the speaker to steer clear of the distractions and the stress. He also felicitated the guest with a shawl and memento and expressed appreciation for conducting the seminar in an interactive and entertaining way. Students had an opportunity to assess their needs and aspirations. The interaction with delegates from the Indo-Global Overseas Education Fair enabled the participants to know about USA, and Canada education system and admission requirements. They also learned about scholarships and financial aid, F1 visa guidance, Dos and Don’ts to apply for USA Universities, ETS exam preparations and requirements of Canada SPP procedures.

Workshop on Entrepreneurship in Emerging Technologies

A Workshop on Entrepreneurship in Emerging Technologies was held in the Major Auditorium on 31st October 2017 from 2 pm to 4 pm for the students of ME and CE IV year. Mr. Ratan Rithwik, mentor with PAN INDIA STARTUP HUB, an initiative of iB hubs, iB Group explained that entrepreneurship is about execution of ideas. He impressed upon the participants to take actions to hone entrepreneurial abilities to transform the world. He advised the students to design and run startups to find solutions to pressing problems. He asserted that emerging technologies present both unique challenges and tremendous opportunities for those individuals who focus their search for competitive advantage on them. The program made students aware of emerging technologies that will drive entrepreneurship such as internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and Neuroscience.

Workshop on Personal Behaviors and Personality Traits

A Workshop on Personal Behaviors and Personality Traits was held in the Major Auditorium on 31st October 2017 from 10 AM to 1 PM for the students of I year all branches. Mr. Naga Prasad, Director of Yuvaraj Motivators PVT LTD conducted the workshop and shared useful nuggets of wisdom concerning personality improvement. The program provided students with detailed information on personal behaviors such as appearance, clothing styles, dressing styles, hairstyles, and mannerisms and personality traits such as confidence, optimism, trust, integrity, and reliability. Tips on small talk and interpersonal relations were also given. The program also stressed on other useful aspects such as creating the best first impression, remaining sober and calm, avoiding showing off branded gadgets and clothes, wearing appropriate shoes, being sociable and friendly, avoiding fiddling with hair, nails, and having good manners and mannerisms.

Career Guidance Seminar

A Seminar on Career Guidance was organized in the Conference Hall of the ECE block on 11th January 2018 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of II-year ECE & CSE II. Mr. Kranthi Kumar, Director, GATE Hyderabad Office of the Time Institute conducted the program in a refreshing manner. The program made students aware of career options for various engineering streams and the strategies required to enhance the knowledge of aptitude, reasoning and logic, communication and coding skills. The program trained students to develop requisite knowledge on the topics such as interview skills, resume preparation, and group discussions. The speaker focused on students' educational and work backgrounds in order to help them determine what they need to do next to achieve their goals. He also advised students about what courses and educational programs they need for particular careers. He also spoke about how to locate sources of financial support to pay for college and other training programs.

Soft Skills for Engineering Students

A Workshop on Top Soft Skills for Engineering Students was organized on 21/12/2018 from 10 am to 3 pm in the Major Auditorium for the students of III year all branches. Mr. Naga Prasad, Director of Yuvaraj Motivators PVT LTD conducted the workshop to provide hands on experience on picking up the knowledge of soft skills. The speaker contended that soft skills are important as or more important than technical skills in today’s changing work environment. The program provided essential knowledge in key areas of soft skills such as the ability to work under pressure, problem-solving skills, creativity, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and team working skills. Through the program, the participants have learned that soft skills enable them better relationships with others, perform well in various situations- academic and job and yield optimal productivity. The facilitator made the session highly interactive and pleasurable with his jovial and charming personality and relevant examples from academic field and the work environment. He explained the concepts with some video clippings. This session was an eye opener for one and all present for the session. Students enjoyed this session thoroughly.

Personality Development Skill Program

A Personality Development Skill Program was conducted for the students of I ECE and CSE on 28/08/2018 from 10 am to 1 pm in the Mini Auditorium. The speaker Ms. Indira Priya Kasbha, freelance motivational speaker & business consultant, Hyderabad educated the participants about developing their self-image. The speaker asserted that Personality Development is an enduring process of fostering, shaping and enhancing individuals’ skills, knowledge and interests to ascertain their maximum efficacy. The participants picked up useful tips for building their self-confidence, enhancing their self-esteem and improving their overall personality. The program also sensitized the students about proper social and professional behavior to be adopted in the educational institutions and workplaces. The event enabled the participants to become aware of social and business etiquette, and good manners. The students were happy that the program helped them understand the skills and strategies they need to hone their personal and professional image.

Workshop on Recent Developments in Mine Safety Legislation

A Workshop on Recent Developments in Mine Safety Legislation was organized for I and II-year students of Mining Engineering on 29th December 2018 from 1:30 pm to 3: 30 pm in the Conference Hall, Mining Block. Dr. Shyam Mishra, Director of Mine Safety, Chennai conducted the workshop to enlighten the students on reducing risks associated with mining works, The program was organized to enhance students’ knowledge pertaining to mine safety. Safety has long been a concern in the mining business, especially in underground mining. Students learned about the practice of controlling and managing a wide range of hazards associated with the life cycle of mining-related activities. They were also educated about the implementation of recognized hazard controls and/or reduction of risks associated with mining activities to legally, socially and morally acceptable levels. The participants learned not only about reducing health and safety risks to mine workers, but also about the reduction of risks to plant (machinery) together with the structure and ore body of the mine.

Seminar on Employability Skills and New Age Skills

A seminar on Employability Skills and New Age Skills was organized in the Major Auditorium on 16th February 2019 from 10: 30 am to 12: 30 pm for the students of CSE and ECE III year. The program was conducted to promote students’ awareness on developing employability skills in tune with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Students understood that technological advances could impact the existing job market. Automation could lead to disappearance of some jobs and creation of new jobs. The students have been asked to gear themselves up to changing job market situation and develop requisite skills in new age areas to become industry ready.

Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

The Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning was conducted on 21st December 2019 from 10 am to 12: 30 pm in the Major Auditorium of the college for the students of CSE II year. The speaker, Mr. B. Srinivas, a freelance AI trainer based in Hyderabad, explained the concepts of AI and ML. The students learned about the capabilities and the roles of machines. They learned that MI is an application of AI that provides the system the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience. They understood how to generate a program by integrating input and output of that program. The session was very practical and it contained real life situations to enable students to grasp the concepts.

“Corporate Challenges and Opportunities”

The Guest lecture “Corporate Challenges and Opportunities” was conducted on 6th March, 2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm in the Seminar Hall of MBA Block for the students of MBA I & II year. Mr.Rayapu Boyapati, HR Manager, IBM, Hyderabad was the chief guest for the occasion. The program enabled the students to understand the challenges and opportunities that directly impact the end goals of business which include funding opportunities, business accreditation, globalization efforts, entrepreneurship programs, energy and sustainability initiatives, executive education offerings. The lecture was very informative and contained a lot of day to day examples and familiar case studies.

“Global Higher Education Opportunities”

The seminar “Global Higher Education Opportunities” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 5th March 2020 from 2 PM to 4 PM for III B.Tech. CSE and ECE students. The speaker, Mr. U. V. Raghava Reddy, Working Partner of Conduira interacted with students and enhanced students’ awareness about higher education opportunities across the nations. The program was of immense help to those students who wished to study abroad. The interaction with the guest has enabled the students to know about application fee waiver, scholarship support and relaxation of GRE & TOEFL scores to get admission into universities abroad. They also came to know differences in compensation between engineering jobs straight after graduating in India and after pursuing higher education abroad. The speaker gave details about the universities in the US such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, Harvard University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of California, Berkeley (UCB), Princeton University and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

“Awareness Program on Road Safety and Anti-Ragging Measures”

The event “Awareness Program on Road Safety and Anti-Ragging Measures” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 12/02/2021 from 10 am to 12 am for students of all branches I B. Tech. the program was attended by Sri. Ramalinga Raju, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pate Basheerabad, Hyderabad and his team. Pate Basheerabad Assistant Commissioner of Police Shri Ramalinga Raju said that students should grow as responsible and proud citizens of the country. He advised the students to use their energies and talent to acquire knowledge about road safety and impart the same to others so that many precious lives, which are lost due to various road accidents, could be saved. He also appealed to the students that students over the age of 18 and who possess valid driver's license should only drive on the roads after acquiring knowledge of road safety. Wearing a helmet, driving under prescribed speed limit, and hazards of drunken driving are the other matters related to road safety that were stressed in the program. Later, Pate Basheerabad Police Station SI Shri Ramesh in his speech explained the need for helmet and displayed videos of accidents on various occasions on the roads of twin cities. Dr. A. Ramaswami Reddy, Director of the College and Mr. Praveen Reddy, Director of Malla Reddy Group of Educational Institutions spoke about anti-ragging measures in place on the campus. The police department, the college management and the staff assured the freshers that student safety is given top priority on and off the campus. The event was also attended by Dean, H & S, Dr T.V. Surendranatha Reddy, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr P. Sreehari and some faculty of the college.

“Experiences and Opportunities for Mining Engineers in Industry, Academia and Research”

The seminar “Experiences and Opportunities for Mining Engineers in Industry, Academia and Research” was organized on 08/02/2021 from 10 am to 4 pm in the Conference Hall of Mining Block for students of II, III & IV year Mining Department. The program enlightened students on the availability of career opportunities for mining engineering students. Students came to know how to equip themselves with regard to technical and soft skills competencies so that they become relevant in the changing jobscape. They understood that different areas of mining industry open up multiple job offers at various levels in India and abroad. The event was very practical and all the speakers gave useful tips for students on mining engineering concepts, needs and demands of the industry and job market scenario. This seminar is a useful platform for the students to assimilate the various opportunities available to them. Experts from various fields of mining and allied engineering shared their personal experiences and educated the students on expectations of recruiting companies during campus recruitment drives. The program provided the students benefits such as awareness about various avenues of employment for Mining Engineers, tips for preparing for competitive examinations (including GATE) and interviews and the information about subjects on which to concentrate based on the company and its nature of operations.

The seminar titled “Blueprint for Academic and Placement Success”

The seminar “Blueprint for Academic and Placement Success” was conducted in the Major Auditorium of the college on 4th February 2021from 2 PM to 4 PM for I B.Tech. students of all branches. Ms. Hemalatha of Arena Technologies, Hyderabad was the speaker of the program. The seminar was organized to enhance students’ awareness about using infra structural facilities together with curricular, cocurricular and extracurricular activities. The program gave students detailed analysis about utilizing activities/events scheduled on the academic calendar. The interaction with the guest has enabled the students to realize the importance of developing technical skills, communication skills and soft skills. They also came to know the present day job market demands and trends and opportunities for pursuing higher education abroad. Among other things, the event enabled the students to learn about: a) utilizing infrastructural facilities of the college and b) opportunities for graphics and multimedia specialists.

Seminar on Achieving Success by Overcoming Stress and Distractions

The seminar titled “Achieving Success by Overcoming Stress and Distractions” was held in the Major Auditorium of the college on 22/03/2021 from 1:40 pm to 4: 10 pm for II and III B. Tech students. The program started with the host Aashritha of III ECE inviting the speaker, Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, Director, Prof. A. Ramaswamy Reddy, Dean of Industry Institute Interaction Cell, Prof. S. Venkata Ramaiah and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. P. Sreehari. Mr. Gampa Nageshwer Rao, the speaker for the event is a renowned motivational speaker, psychologist and soft skills trainer. The speaker shared several nuggets of wisdom which would enable students to achieve academic and professional success by overcoming factors such as negativity, hesitation, distractions, stress and anxiety. The speaker urged the students to develop sane habits such as proper sleep, waking up early, respecting elders, parents and teachers. He gave them tips which are useful for achieving focus and overcoming distractions related to gadgets. He also told them to be sincere and dedicated in their studies, making the positive use of technology, time and teachers. The Director also spoke on the occasion and advised the students to follow the techniques provided by the speaker to steer clear of the distractions and the stress. He also felicitated the guest with a shawl and memento and expressed appreciation for conducting the seminar in an interactive and entertaining way. A few students spoke right after the speaker finished his seminar and gave their instant feedback. They expressed their happiness for conducting such a useful program. The program ended with the Dean, Student Affairs thanking the guest for a memorable presentation. He also thanked the Director and also the Dean of Industry Institute Interaction Cell. He also conveyed his thanks to other faculty members who took active part in making the seminar a success.

15th Graduation, Placement and Alumni Day

The Event 15th Graduation, Placement & Alumni Day of the college was held on 6th March 2021. The event was organized successfully as the various committees that were constituted for the purpose worked collaboratively and cooperatively. The Director and the Central Coordinators interacted with the coordinators and members of various committees regularly. Guests and Speakers of the Day The Director of the college, Prof. A. Ramaswami Reddy gave the welcome address. He welcomed all the dignitaries and guests and spoke about the achievements of the college in various spheres. He congratulated the graduating students, placed students and alumni for their achievements and contribution and urged them to make the best use of technology for their professional enrichment. He also administered the Graduation Pledge to the fresh graduates. The Chief Guest and the Founder Chairman, Sri. Ch. Malla Reddy spoke about the transformation of his life from a milk vendor to an eminent educationist and a political leader. He remarked that hard work is the only secret for whatsoever success he claimed all through his life. Guest of Honour Sri. G. Ram Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director of ARK Infrastructure PVT LTD. Through his vision and passion for civil engineering and construction, Mr. Ram Reddy led the ARK Group with 31 years of success. With his strong experience in engineering and management, he established a reputed organization and team of professionals that executed a wide range of projects from residential buildings to commercial establishments, educational institutions, and industrial units, among others. Ark Group, under Mr. Ram Reddy’s leadership gained high quality recognition with CRISIL’s 5 star rating and awards from Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri YS Rajshekar Reddy, Hon’ble CM, Sri Rosaiah, Hon’ble CM, Sri Kiran Kumar Reddy and Hon’ble Governor Sri Rangarajan. Another Guest of Honour, Prof. E. Sai Baba Reddy who worked as the Vice Principal of JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad gave his valuable speech and enlightened the students about need for upgrading their skills and knowledge and development of innovative abilities for entrepreneurial and career success. Celebrating the Graduation Most graduates of all the departments attended the program. They were very enthusiastic and looked colorful in their graduation robes. The toppers were awarded medals and other graduates were given Certificates of Academic Excellence. Appreciating Job Placements Students who got placed came to the event along with their parents. Both the student and the parents were felicitated with a shawl and a memento. Students also received Certificates of Appreciation. Bonding with the Alumni Many of our alumni participated in the event very enthusiastically. Around 70 alumni registered for the programme. More than 40 attended the program. Alumni were felicitated with a shawl and a memento. Some of them spoke about their success stories – how they designed and initiated their own start-ups and excelled in their career. They also participated in the cake cutting program and had a good time. Vote of Thanks The H&S Dean and one of the Central Coordinators, Prof. T. V. Surendranatha Reddy proposed the vote of thanks. He thanked the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour, Director, Parents and students for their valuable contribution to the success of the 15th Graduation, Placement & Alumni Day.
